Even with the studs in i dont think it would be matched judging by the pics.?. But it sounds like you have a good plan! You doing the case work? Pics help me to notice that kinda stuff allot easier. Blessed be the zoom feature! Possibly, not sure yet. I'll take some pics with the studs tightened down to show you how it's matched up, it is honest ;D

BTW, will any stock scooter crank handle 13,000RPM for long ? Thanks for doing 'the test' for us . Short answer - no, not even for 5 minutes You'll see there is a very slight mismatch on the left of one of the transfers, this is because I matched to the gasket and not the cylinder. I'll be sure to do it properly on the crank cases I use. I'm not going to dremel out any more material than this, I figure the passages are big enough as it is, and I don't want to loose too much primary compression.

Primary compression is not as important as before due to modern pipe technology, many modern 2 stroke racing engines have quite low primary compression.. Your work is looking very good!!

Just remembered I forgot to measure the pipe properly. I'll get some new batteries for my calipers tomorrow. What do you reckon about flowing the cases John? I'm probably going to do something similar to the pics above. Got red bolts to go with it too

Engine's in the shop, I'll take pics as it comes apart. Bushings seem good to me, so I may leave them in there.

Going to get someone to attempt to mill out and re-tap the CVT bolt holes today. Everything on this engine that could be overtightened or stripped was one or the other. The only reason there aren't more stripped bolts is because I'd been using penetrating oil and a blowtorch on the tough ones.
I'm also going to collect my ''spare'' £200 scoot today too.
