I spoke to Andy from PedParts today.
He reckons that something else is going on, as even with the port timings I gave it should work fine with the R1200. I'm going to get the dyno graph's from Shiny and send them to him and see if he can spot anything. If not I'll be spending a day in Bristol trying to find out what's going on.
Tonight I'm going to take off the S6 kit and fit an old Doppler S7R so Andy can take a look at the timings of the S6 kit for himself.
He's also concerned about the vibration I've noticed, and I am too as it's getting worse. I think the crank's been dropped or something, and is out of true. I really need to investigate and find out what's going on before the main bearings fail or something breaks.

Is it likely salvagable with the appropriate tools? I'm going to drop the engine out of R2 tomorrow and find out what crank it's got.

Thanks, looks like I'll have to get someone else to true it as I don't have a dial gauge.

Went to take off the S6 barrel to send it off for inspection, and replace it with a Doppler S7R I've got lying around. Came a bit unstuck, as I've lost the head for the Doppler. There goes my chances of getting the scoot working properly any time soon

Surely your work shop is not as cluttered as mine!! Mine's plenty cluttered with stock 50 and sport 70 cylinders, but that was my only midrace. I don't think a Malossi sport would take too well to a C16 and 28mm carb

I bet it would run better with the sport than it would without a cylinder for now. lol
