The current plan is to fit the new S6 racing cylinder when it arrives, and use a known good setup with the Racing and R1200 (rollers, jetting, needle etc.) and send the old one back for replacement should it turn out that it is indeed defective. The replacement cylinder will then hopefully find itself going for a journey across Europe into the capable hands of Bram from Scooter Invasion, who will work his magic while I use the other S6 racing kit to get around. I'm then going to try and resist the urge to put the then spare kit on my other runner with the C16 and probably fail too :help:

Is that a totally stock rear pulley or is the TD aftermarket? Either way, it makes me jealous. lol

Dang. I already knew they had large pulleys, but you have more performance oriented straight groove torque drivers too.

Tis now tomorrow morning and I have a shiny new S6 cylinder in my hand. Even better - it has the correct port timings. Measured super accurately with a caliper and the piston Ex: 20.19 I did do the transfers and boost port, but the measurements were inconsistent by around 0.5mm each time I did them. It's hard to see when the port is properly open, as unlike the exhaust port you can't see daylight. The exhaust port measurement was within 0.05mm each time I did it, so I'm fairly sure it's accurate.

If you're measuring off the scoot, try shining a bright flashlight up through the boost/transfer ports.

Yeah, it was off the scoot. I'll bear that in mind in future, thanks. I did manage to get it all fitted, time for a proper test ride It moves, which is more than last time  I've taken vids and pics, which will follow later.

Time for a mega update ;D Firstly, I will say that it works!!! :scoot2: Right, on with the pics. Starting point Stub fitted Test fitting for squish check. Note the lack of sealant and piston ring Perfect Gaskets fitted with a little grease to hold them in place Getting there Done Squish re-check Just needs an exhaust and coolant And this one's for those of you with tiny 14mm carbs to drool over And finally, a video of it's first test firing. Yes, I did go a bit OTT with the oil during assembly
