Thanks for the vids Luke. It really didn't like that hill as setup and it sure needs to spin up before it gets going. Once the revs get up there though, it moves quite nicely it seems.

It certainly didn't like that hill. I changed the belt a few moment's before and it dropped the RPM's right down, not going over 11k. I'll have t get some lighter rollers in there to see it's full potential.

I'm back ;D
Dropped the roller's to 3.5gr from 4gr, woke it right up. Lifting up the front with ease now :thumb:
I bagged a Polini EVO drive face for my vari for £6.50 off eBay, bargain in my opinion. Unlike the S6 one, it's still steel like my rather pitted stock one, so won't wear out in a few hundred miles.
I've also ordered a pack of shim's, as I noticed my new belt's not getting right down in the vari so take off's still a bit iffy. It overhangs the center pin by a good mm.
The muffler on my exhaust's leaking badly and been dripping onto the chamber as one of the stud's has been snapped off. I'm still deciding if I want to replace the silencer or go for a C16, for the great deep sound and I'm sure a slight performance advantage. The Pro really wasn't designed for 12.5k rpm, especially as I've seen it perform so well on the dyno with a low revving (10k) S6 streetrace cylinder. Hmmm :stumped:

You ARE the zing-dinger guy here, Luke.... no doubt. Big time revs do make the power but does make for considerable maintenance. I guess it's all in your priorities and pocketbook. And as they say, "Scooter tuning is not a crime."
Watching with interest, as usual. Good luck. :thumb:

Thanks Reg :thumb: This is gunna be a very long project, got some visual work to do too - it involves carbon fibre and will be just as to excess as my engine work ;D My priorities involve getting a scooter to reliably outrun cars and I'm not happy if I haven't overtaken at least one car in a 60 zone on the way to college My bank balance will look a lot healthier of I can sell the R1200 - if I do it'll sure get a C16 and possibly get it chromed too if I do.

Just occurred to me it will make for a much better on-board vid now, will go on my to do list for when I can walk, my back went crunch when I hopped off my scoot today. The prescribed painkillers are strong and next to useless

You beat me to it. I was just gonna ask for a new vid. lol Hope you feel better soon. Thanks Brent. I was warned it might last me a few weeks :censored: Should have the shims and drive face in the next few days, will fit both at the same time and see how it goes. Have decided to buy a new Yasuni C/City 16, if I can get the R1200 sold. I've just remembered I haven't taken the measurement's for John, I completely forgot after I cocked them up the first time.

Guys, you know I never have any good luck? Muffler innards decided to go walkies and ended up with the outlet pointing at the flywheel cover. Hope nothing's fried inside Well, that's made up my mind. Bye bye S6 Pro exhaust, hello C16. Oh wait, I'm broke and can't seem to shift the R1200

Must be some serious vibration and heat coming out of that jug!
Sorry for the bad luck, Luke.

Must be some serious vibration and heat coming out of that jug! Sorry for the bad luck, Luke. Actually, it's because one of the stud's that hold's the silencer had snapped (as I mentioned earlier), so the end's weren't clamped to the center sleeve properly, leaving it free to go where it chooses. Least it's just a £5 cover at the moment. Could get worse, if say the seal's melted or stater fried. Shouldn't curse myself by saying that though!

Too late, both the stator and flywheel are toast
