I just ordered one also. I have a biggish glove-box arrangement under my steering head area that I never use, so thinking of mounting it flush in there. That way only the face would be exposed to some weather & not the wiring.
They are quite a neat little display. I'm interested to know what sort of power-draw they have. Being LCD I doubt it would be much but it all adds up when you have several gauges and an aftermarket speedo etc etc.
Anyone know of any aftermarket stators that are greater than say 8 pole for uprated charging?

Seems pretty accurate so far, haven't installed it on an engine or used the procon thermocouple as yet though. Haven't re-read through this thread yet, but from what I've seen on here somewhere recently temp wise after a decent WOT run it should be somewhere around 176-187° (350-370F)? What about low-mid throttle cruising? At the speed limit I'm sitting around 6750-7000rpm under 1/2 throttle if that helps lol

I get a whole bunch of temps depends on the situation, season and weather. If the scooter is in motion the cooling fan runs faster then when standing at a red light.
Cruising 130F Cruising, standing at red light 140-150F.
Cruising with short WOT bursts in between 160-170F Cruising WOT, red light 190F
Long WOT run 190-210F Long WOT run, red light 230-240F
If I turn the engine off and just keep the power running the temps vary again. I think the highest I have ever seen while engine is running was 250F. I doubt that my setup can reach 300F and above. As soon I get my action cam I will post plenty of videos.

His ebay name is procon-products. Great communication and fast at replying or shipping. Just a tip, sensors_factory on eBay is the same seller, but for some reason the prices for custom cables are cheaper from the sensors_factory account, I'm wondering if it is due to the Procon-Products account being listed on eBay as Canadian vs HK for the sensors_factory account? The first (faulty) thermocouple I got from Procon was a custom 1.25metre cable and was $14usd shipped. Just ordered one from sensors_factory, also 1.25metres and it came to $7.49usd shipped. Dealing with the same person who is using the same email address and PayPal on both accounts and the invoice for the second thermocouple has Procon on the header lol. Funnily though he wouldn't reply when i emailed about the fault thermocouple, but when I sent a question to the other account on eBay about buying another one I had a reply and invoice in minutes...

lol, I have no idea what that dude is doing. As long he doesn't cheat you... Looking at my purchase history, I paid 1190 Yen for the display and 510 Yen for the sensor cable. Fried the first display and got quick replacement. Since then no issues. China stuff is like that either you get lucky or not. 8 out of 10 china items are usually faulty or don't last long.

Yeah I hear you re China stuff being hit or miss!
My success rate has been much better than 2/10 though, out of something like 70 Aliexpress and China eBay orders I've placed in the last year or 2 the main 3 things that come to mind as faulty have been the first dash I got, the first CHT display and now this thermocouple. Oh and possibly a couple fake 18650 batteries.
Fingers crossed that this next thermocouple will sort it though! I think the issue with the first one is the actual thermocouple wasn't fully seated in the ring when it was crimped which has left it able to earth out and wriggle around.

Going to order a display like your one tsimi and try to make it fit somewhere. I think either the small display I have was fried by the bad thermocouple as it was working perfectly with the probe thermocouple it came with, but now it shows high temps even without a thermocouple attached at all!

RaizerYeah, I read about your problem in your build thread, it sucks! The small display looked cool and would have been lot easier to install. Your only option now is to try a different display and see how it goes.

Yeah I can't see it being anything besides the display now, fingers crossed a Procon-Products/Sensors_Factory display should work perfect with there thermocouple for me! Just waiting on them to reply about if they have a green display in Celsius for me now. I've got an idea on where to mount the bigger display too, it just means sacrificing the spot where I keep my hat when I'm riding lol At the very least I've gained a mounting spot for my voltmeter

Tsimi can you post a pict. Of how you mounted your sensor ring in. Because my cht is working ok when i compare it with other thermometers.. Its just that my cyl temps almost newer go higher than 32°c when im WOT.. Then when i stop the temps go higher.. thats normal because the fan is not spinning so fast.. But it cant spin so fast that is cooling the spark plug from 100c to 35c in a very short time..

Ah i see.. I didnt know you left it that way.. Will try and see if there is less airflow in this position.. I really hope so.. Oh and yes i did remowe the spark plug ring.. Like someone mentioned you can loose some compresion with both thing on

Ok so i tryed and tryed every possible way to gett a more constant readout.. And it seems nothing did the trick..
Then i took the probe out of the 14mm spark plug ring housing and drilled a hole in a m8 alu bolt.. Put that probe in glued it with 400°c silicon.. Drilled a hole thru 2 cylinder fins and screew that bolt in.. I must say that its more than enough for me now.. Its reading temps almost the way it should. Not perfect butt good..
