If for some reason I were to buy a 4T I would disconnect the odometer before it hit a hundred miles and sell it at the first signs of problems. What a guy!

I guess if you have no mechanical skills and know nothing about engines, you should get a 2T....Ha ha. Just kidding. All scoots need a rider with mechanical skills. I am partial to 4T's...can you tell?

Actually I have three Derbi motors one of which I've mounted into a Chinese frame. But the Del Orto carbs weren't letting it open up. But reading the flip thread I gave a Minuki carb a try. Thought I was dealing with some restriction fault code from some module. Happier now, and riding.

I have two of the Piaggio ET2 motors (Derbi) and that would be pretty cool to use them on something else.

You can get the wiring schematics online and figure it out.

I used three sets of schematics and plenty of modifications to accommodate analog fuel and oil. I was afraid that the digital sensors fed a signal to the motor control module.

So you did have to use the control module. I actually have enough parts to build another Atlantis, but I need most of the plastics and they are so expensive that I just can't justify it. Who knows, maybe I'll come across another one that isn't running. Eh, no big deal though.

Spaz, check ebay Germany. Sometimes with the currency exchange, you can get some decent prices on parts. The Euro is down against the dollar right now and the shipping is not too bad in most cases.

Atlantis and City have the same body parts?

Yeah,Derbi used a lot of sub-names such as Bullet and City but they are still the Atlantis. Oh, and don't forget the Wave.

Out of all 4 of my Derbi's, the Atlantis is the smoothest ride.I would take that one on a long trip any day. It cruises 47-50mph. Not bad for a stock 50cc. It is the bike in my avatar.

I once rebuild a totally wrecked one for a customer back when I used to work as a scoot mechanic. It had an air cooled cylinder and a watercooled head! Never saw and have seen it before.
