Does anyone know a manual or tutorial to remove a 2 throttle cable stock carb setup to a single throttle cable big carb setup? I mean the whole thing, from removing the cables and replacing them plus installing the carb, image by image for dummies so to speak. spaz12? You are the Zuma expert here and those carbs look very, very similar to mine.

I'm pretty sure it's the same carb. I also believe that there is something like what you're looking for on ZF. I'll go look for you in a few minutes.

tsimi I can't find anything right now, but I'm taking mine off tomorrow so I'll take pictures. But to be honest, it's pretty easy and straight forward to do. I took all my plastics off so that I could route the cables (throttle and choke) and from there it's just a matter of putting the cable into the stock throttle control and hooking up the needle to the end of the cable. I also ended up mounting my choke cable by my ignition switch. I'll take as many photos as I can tomorrow.

spaz12 appreciate it, thanks. The thing is I have no idea how the whole throttle thing looks like in my Jog and I don't even know how to put a cable into the stock throttle control. I also don't know how long the new throttle cable should be since I use the stock oil pump it might be shorter then usual? I have to make sure I get all things right if I would order a new carb since shipping is very expensive I cannot afford any mistakes. Forgetting to order parts or certain things might be very costly for me. And what carb size would fit into the stock intake and could be still used with a stock airbox? 17.5 - 19mm?? I wait for your pictures maybe that will give me more insights as too how things work and look. Thanks.

Assuming that your throttle is similar to this, your new cable goes in the front hole and will be self explanatory once you pull yours apart. Nothing scary here. I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you use the stock oil pump and that yours might be shorter? Does the Jog use the pump that has a cable attached to it like the Minarelli clones? Another issue that you are going to have is, if it's like the Zuma, that the oil line that runs to the carb is too short for a Dellorto carb. That oil line is tiny, and was for me, a real PITA to find! I never did find just the right size and so used safety wire to hold it in place on the nipples. And for a 19mm carb you should get a bigger intake manifold. I used the one from MotoForce and it worked out pretty well. I'll get you a link to see which one I'm talking about. From there you can order it from wherever is cheapest for you.

It appears that you do have a cable that goes to your oil pump. Damn it man! So I pm'd a guy on another forum that has a Jog and knows lots of other guys with Jog's. Hopefully he'll have an answer for me in the morning.
Unless someone else already know??

spaz12Yeah, it seems like I do have a cable going to the oil pump. At least I know now why most people say to ditch the oil pump and premix. That saves a lot head aches and solves multiple issues. No oil hose to the carb, no oil pump on the crank thus running smoother or maybe even a bit faster, no cable to the pump anymore. Hmm...I really should re-think the whole carb and oil pump thing. Costs might be higher then I thought. Carb, cable, intake, reeds, manual choke...

Just looked and there is no cable going to the oil pump at least not one on the outside. No idea how it is pumping oil then.

Here's my buddies answer: Jogs shouldn't have a cable to the oil pump. If they have two throttle wires the second is to stop the throttle from going forward, just like our Bugeyes and Vinos. Altho I have no idea how more recent Jogs are., but given how they are still Minarelli, that's how they should be. He could most likely use a prebug (BWs, Booster, Spirit, etc), Jog, Slider/Stunt, Aerox/Nitro throttle cable if he needs a new wire, or anything that uses a single wire really - assuming that both of his wires are going to the carb. That's what I'm using right now.I'll be pulling the bike apart in an hour or so and getting you pictures.

Turned out to be a bit more than an hour haha. Give me a while and I'll have them up. I'm actually still working on it right now.
