so picked this ped up today pretty cheap, its a non runner but v5 is there and exhaust is there im hoping i can get this working, running it should be a nice little watercooled bike . 2 stroke i have heard there pretty decent and fast but im unknown about them. but its my first watercooled bike , will be stripping pannels off it tommrow to see the wiring and to see if the engine needs to be opened, i have been told the crank is bent but thats not a problem i have had to push this bike 4 mile home with flat tyers due to it not fitting in my volvo but didn't wanna break anything

hey guys so had a chance to play with the bike all day the guy said the crankshaft is bent but im not sure how true that is, anyway i stripped the bike of all its panels today and managed to get it to fire, after puting a bit of petrol in the carb. the petlock seems stuck so no fuel will come out. . also in one of my pictures something is broke being the vairiator and i was wondering can someone tell me what it is please. also this next picture made me laugh i was taking the seat out and noticed it had a pecice of plastic screwed into it, as a repair panel and its off a chinese bike i thought at least plastics are good on chinese bikes lol how she currently looks

Looks like the variator itself is missing a chunk. Judging by all the belt dust accumulated in there, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take the whole CVT apart and clean and inspect it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EjW-iSP-Q8

true the belt is very loose so will be getting changed before going for an mot , thank you for that 90GTvert i didn't know the name. the whole cv will be getting a nice clean up i will have to buy eaither an impact gun or some sort of tool to hold the vairator while i remove it . iwiketuddlz how can you tell how much belt travle is left ?

Man, did you score!!!!!!! So jealous! And that missing chunck caused so much vibration that it's probably what led the previous owner to think the crank was bent. I'd almost bet that it's not! Lucky you. And that sir, is dedication pushing a bike with flats for four miles! I love it.

haha thanks spaz so today i was gonna see what starter relay i had as it would not kick over from the button and it fired yesterday from the kick start but thats a lot of hard work as it only fires after 12 times of kicking it but i know things need changing there haha. so today i was confused as to why the back light did not come on when i pulled the brake lever in and i thought i would remove the 2 connectons and put them together and low and behold the rear brake light light up so then moment of truth i pressed the ignition button while the rear light was on and it tried to fire into life i had solved the problem , only thing is i have no idea what this thing is called so if someone knows, it screws into the brake lever. also i think my petcock is broken as no fuel is sucked from there when trying to fire the engine and i have took the inside of the petcock out to get fuel to flow freely and still nothing so whats this called people ?
