Yeah, you can use other springs like the Stage6 or other makers. I think PIG said once if you want clutch engagement above 8000rpms you need the stiffest Stage6 springs that are meant for the Stage6 MKII clutch. My clutch currently engages at 7500rpms at power take offs and at 6500rpms when cruising. I used the stiffest springs that came with the clutch and the weakest pillow springs.
I myself never tried other springs yet but I think my pillow springs are starting to fade a bit and she bites a bit too hard too early. Those pillow springs look a bit smaller than the other 3 so not sure if you can use anything there but the main ones should be fine with Jog springs. I like to let her slip a tiny bit so that I can drive also in regular traffic without getting the feeling like someone is kicking your scoot from behind. Make sense?

Yeah makes total sense, will look into stage6 springs. Mine came with soft silver springs and the red ones ones I'm running, it's engaging under 4000rpm.
It had red pillow springs fitted and lighter pink ones in the box, so ATM it's got the red clutch springs and pink pillows.

Not sure if the coloring is the same with all HIT clutches. I posted once the 105mm (151201) HIT clutch manual with the spring explanations. I use the green main springs (39kg) and the purple pillow springs (5.5kg) Anything stronger than green (39kg) needs to be bought from another maker since Dr.Pulley doesn't offer anything stiffer.

Mines a 151202 107mm for 110mm bell. I'm running the SP1425005095-PL 5.5kg pillow springs. That's the clutch springs I'm running, so I'm probably after the equivalent of purple and green to try out. Fingers crossed I can find something in NZ... Yeah right.

Have got some stage 6 orange springs coming, couldn't get the really heavy red ones though. Also ordering a set of Polini blue springs
Also somewhat looking at starting over with a Piaggio Zip 2t.

Very curious to see how those springs turn out.

So yeah stage6 springs are no use for a Dr Pulley clutch. Can't find Dr Pulley springs in single sets, just packages of the complete range for more than I want to pay as I only need 1 or 2 sets, so it's back to the drawing board I guess.

So that's what they look like. Yeah, Dr.Pulley doesn't sell single springs only those overpriced ($60) sets. On the springs it says Dio but I think any spring will fit as long it is for a 50cc scooter.

There the Dr Pulleys are the same physical size as generic Jog springs, the red Dr Pulley spring is the exact same dimensions and wire gauge as some red Jog ones I got from aliexpress ages ago only difference is the aliexpress ones have a nicer finish haha.
Going to have to try the Polini ones as soon as I can get my hands on a set.

Ok just re-read your post. So the Stage6 red ones won't fit a Dr.Pulley HIT clutch? Too bad... I have a couple of them coming way soon. Well, guess I'll be using them in my next clutch for the Aerox engine. Maybe a Stage6 MKII or Malossi Delta clutch.

Yeah the stage6 springs are too small for the Dr Pulley clutch, in my pic is the stage6 orange springs and a Dr Pulley red spring.

Tsimi, I say don't get the Stage6 clutch because they don't have a strong hookup. I've heard other people say they do, but I have a feeling that those people have never used a clutch like the Delta, 2G or the HiT.

spaz12 would you know of any sources for really heavy"Jog" springs? Besides Polini blue I'm having trouble finding anything that I can confirm will fit.
