89k is too high and 56k too low for my setup. I would need around 75k
Maybe looking for Honda Dio springs instead of Yamaha Jog springs would be the right course of action?

Hi Raizer Its been a while... Just wanted to let you know that the Jog clutch springs fit the 105mm HIT clutch. The Jog springs are a bit wider than the HIT springs but they clear and fit just fine. I always wanted more rpms before the clutch engages and the stiffest, green HIT springs were not enough. I had a couple red Hirochi clutch springs ,that say 2000rpm on the box, laying around that I bought 2-3 years ago but never got around to use them. Today I put them into my HIT clutch and boy does she pull hard. Slow throttle twist: before 6500rpms now 7200-7500rpms Quick throttle twist: before 7500rpms now 8200-8500rpms My powerband starts at 8000-8500rpms so you can imagine when I twist it quick she wheelies away. Here a couple pics for comparison of the springs. (Stage6, HIT, Jog, from top to bottom)

HIT 105mm Length: 32mm Width: 8mm
S6 MKII Length: 28mm Width: 9mm
JOG Length: 32mm Width: 10.5mm

Dear 49ccScoot users !As first, sorry for my English, it is not my native language. Second, excuse me for trolling this great thread, but i don't want to make new thread...Raizer NZ, my complimets to your work ! It is really nice to people/work like yours and taking really serious this small machines !I'm "trolling" this thread, because i also own (inherited from my grandpa ) almost the same scoot as yours. I'm talking about old Suzuki Let's. The exact model name also mixes me. Sometimes is called as AZ50, CA1KA, Let's or Let's II. It is the exact model as on this link : cdn.riastatic.com/photosnew/auto/photo/suzuki_lets__22854930f.jpgI would like to tell my story with this bike, and ask also some questions :The Scooter was regardings to age and mileage in good shape, my grandpa was the 1st owner, he bought the scooter as new My first plan was keep the scoot in fully original and stock mode, but after that i found some errors, cosmetic and technical issues. Grandpa was still old and ill when he bought the scoot, and was daily used for everything you can expect. Was "like legs" for old man. There was some scratches on bike, some broken pieces, exhaust was full of "unburned" oil etc... The costs spent to scoot was minimally. The machine was always ready to go, has received what needs, but everything from minimal costs (the pensioners haven't the best life in our country). The machine needed some repairs (but was/is fully functional and usable!) so i decided to make some customizations. I'm not the youngest, also not oldest I like to customize things like this and make it more modern (we are talking about 20years old machine). The idea was to create an effective machine next to car. This idea was one of my bests in my life ! 3L consumption, fantastic flexibility in town centre and great compensation of car to driving to work (cca 2KM+2KM). The biggest part to keep the bike alive was/is, that in our country are some specifitacions (change should be in year 2022), that bikes like this = older as XY years, ccm max 49, automatic transmissions, official max speed 45KM/h DOESN'T NEED REGISTRATIONS ! So no need for documents, license plate, checking every 2years etc... Maybe are these specifications alive also in some other country in Europe/World, but in our BIROCRATIC country you need to "use" and live with this specifications. I cannot say no for bike The bike was diasassembled, cleaned (outside, inside, fuel+oil tanks, carburator, filters, so everything...) , used new waterproof electric connectors, changed the light supply from DC to AC (because of LED lights), customized carburator-but still stock, burned out the "trash" from exhaust.... My customizations are : wrap with white matte carbon effect film, customized front lights with LED driving strip/tunr indicators + additional LED indicators in lamp, BiXenon projector, customized rear LED lights + COB LED brake light, customized rear COB LED pipes as turn signals, mirrors with LED turn signals, COB LED storage lights, customized stock Suzuki exhaust , GOSHi ultra silent exhaust, cutted rear mudguard. Im collecting now the before/after/actual photos I think, the bike looks now really more modern, and as you read, the first was the effective lights. I live in touristic/summer holiday town. The roads are in summer FULL of traffic, strange, foreign traffic ! And is nothing easier as in hot, ultra strong sunshine, huge traffic, overlook an small scooter = ME. So that was the reason for new lights. The next step will be swap from 10" to 12", alternative tyres, other suspension, drum to disc brake conversion That's a small text introduction. Another infomations, questions, comes with photos Greetings from middle Europe,Slovakia ! Ronnie

Looks good ronnie! Don't see too many of the low light ones around at all. Since this thread has been brought back to lift I might as well post a little update. I've got Polini blue springs coming for my clutch, and going to attempt to fix my snapped choke tube dilemma with Honda parts and a mate hooked me up with enough vinyl to redo my seat which I will attempt in the near future.

The Polini springs arrived this AM, they don't look any heavier than the red Dr Pulley ones even though there supposed to be the heaviest Polini do etc. Also ordered Malossi black springs, but they turned out to be the same size as the Stage6 orange so are no good to me either Have a sheet of new vinyl ready to redo the seat, new clear tail light lenses and also manual choke parts to fit, but this clutch situation is really starting to bug me. Back to the Gyro!

Raizer The HIT clutch bites really hard and can give you fantastic performance BUT the springs are rare and very expensive since you can only buy the whole set of 5-6 springs. I have lost my hardest HIT clutch springs, either faded or probably overstretched when installing/removing. That is the reason why I gave up on that clutch and went with a Polini 2G. Since then I have not lost one drop of sweat to replace the springs. And not only are the springs very easy to replace you can also adjust the clutch in small steps. You need 500rpms more? No problem for the Polini 2G. The clutch springs for the HIT clutch cost around $60 the Polini 2G clutch cost around $65. Simple math right? Racing Planet Germany is the official Polini importer and has the best price for it. If you should ever buy the Polini 2G clutch make sure you get the optional blue and yellow spring set for it. The yellow ones can give you 8000+rpms engagement and they barely cost anything. I think 5-6 Euros

tsimi I'll add the 2g to my shopping list if these Polini blue springs don't sort it. After having a look side by side with the Dr Pulley red springs the dimensions are right and they are a good bit thicker wire, so fingers crossed they give me the last 500rpm or so I need!

Been a while, been focused on the Gyro! Pulled the carb off and cleaned it out Added a manual choke lever And finally got around to fitting the heavy Polini blue clutch springs and also the new tail light lenses that came among some Gyro parts from tsimiSwapped in a set of 4.5g rollers from the 4g that were in there, just need a new battery now and it's ready to ride again! Oddly the heavy Polini springs seem to engage less aggressively than the thinner Dr Pulley reds.

Just a little update, chucked this in the back of my van last Friday night ready to hit the road in the early hours of Saturday morning. First off we headed 430+ kilometres up the country to the Old School car club drag day, got offered the chance to get a few scooter runs in so there was no way I was going to pass that up!! Chucked the key to Plan B Gyro to another member to have a play with haha Had a bad start thanks to us being made to back off the line after we'd already sat staged for ages as they couldn't see the other bikes number, then the lights went really quick right after we staged. Better start and a much more aggressive clutch set up would have a made a big difference I think lol. Then we headed back another couple hours/160odd K back down the country to Tauranga, left the trailer at a mates (Callum I forget your user name on here bro) and checked into a hotel for the night Does it get classier than bourbon in a hot tub?? Sunday morning I dragged my hungover ass out of bed and over to meet a few of the boys at Callums and we made our way to the start point for a Moped NZ M.C club ride Sandy on her AZ (NZ market name for the Let's II) which replaced the SJ50 from the start of this thread Might have been an accidental skid or 2... Epic day, about to post a thread about it in the pic section now. Plans are already forming for the next ride!
