Figure that I should make a record of this build on here since this has become, by far, my favorite forum Anyway, right now the plans are just to get it to run and make it look good. Getting all the missing pieces is the most important concern at the moment. I'll also be painting it tsimi style. From the beginning then... A bit rough Need to make a bracket for the pipe since it's missing Custom tweaker air box? It went straight into the trash can Spent a couple hours taking most everything off, cleaning it with gas and then hosing it off. I forgot to bring my cleaning brushes with me so it's not nearly as clean as I would like it. My foot was also driving me crazy and that didn't help me any when trying to bend down to get the tight spots. More evidence of tweakers: they cut and hot wired the ignition. The headlights were fair game too. I'll need to source new ends for these. The harness in the rear mostly escaped the carnage. I think that I'm missing the starter relay in this picture? The wires for the tail/brake light and blinkers is still intact. The two wires that are taped I confirmed to be for the oil tank sending unit. PIG helped me with some pics of hes prebug The motor, despite the condition of the rest of the bike, is in surprisingly good condition. Didn't have my compression tester with me, but pushing down with my hand on the lever is rather difficult, which makes me believe that the compression should be pretty good. The bike only has 8 thousand miles on it. I'm thinking that the bike had been previously taken care of and then stolen shortly before it was impounded. That's my hopes anyway A few more pictures ...

Looks like the tires are good. They still have the nubbies on them. You should be able to find a wiring schematic on the net to help figure out your electrical issues. Good luck.

I saw that harness yesterday. You think the connectors are more money?

Don't know, but rather than running down the correct connectors and soldering up the harness you could get a complete harness and be done with it for a relatively small price. Just saying, might be money ahead in the long run.

This is true. I'll know by the end of the day what I'll be buying.

Oh my gord!! I love those tires spaz!!! Really? I don't care too much for them and was gonna put a set of Pirelli's on it from my bugeye, but then I thought that I'd leave them on for a while because maybe I'll take it on a few dirt roads and see how it acts.
