When I fix a cracked panel, I always take a dremel tool and run a round head rasp tool over the crack to gouge it out some. Then I apply fiberglass drywall tape to the back side with epoxy over the tape. On the finish side, I fill the crack with epoxy and sand it smooth. It keeps the panel from cracking again. Just my 2¢ I used that stuff that you find on the bottom of sofas and box springs because I can get it by the rolls for nothing, and with the plastic cement I'm hoping that it holds up. It seems pretty strong. Oh, and I did take a rasp to it as well. That's good advice, thank you

I use a small bag that I zip tied to rear rack for a little storage. It will hold a bottle of oil and a couple tools etc etc. Here's a bad pic, but I'm sure you get the idea. I had not thought of that! Now I just have to go buy one of those damn expensive racks. Do you use the stock air box? That thing was a huge PITA to get on! I had to have help lol

Ohh ya these things are bitch to work on. Any motor work, just pull the motor out and save yourself the headache. FYI put the plastic motor cover back on before you put the motor back on the scoot. For the air box, put the rubber adaptor on the carb then put the back half of the the air box on, then screw the cover on. Also leave the one cvt cover bolt that's closest to the fold out foot peg off. If you don't you have to remove that peg and some of the floor board bolts just to remove the cvt cover. There's a lot of little tricks that you'll figure out as you go.

How about that piece under the dashboard... It needs to be painted because the fools got overspray all over it when they did their hack job of a paint job. I'm just masking off everything since I see no way of removing it unless I remove the handle bars, and that's just too damn much trouble. It's a pain in the butt, but it's a pretty cool little scoot. I can't wait to put that top end on it

A right pain when you wanted to change the rollers

I always thought working on my vertical jog was easy compared to the horizontal jog. On the vert jog i just pulled bidy panels to accss the jug and carb workcan be done without removing any body panels. its the horizontal jog i find difficult to work on wether im going for the jug or the carb.. Its a biotch... I guess its just what you get used to.

So, today I went and worked on it. Fixed a few little problems and then went to test ride it. Wouldn't hardly move. So I was hoping that my new air box hadn't come with a filter...it did. So I oiled up the filter really good, slapped it back in and she would go, but having a real hard time of it. It would do probably twenty or so at 3/4 throttle and die if I tried to give it any more. Well, I have zero MJ's for this little carb and I had time to kill so I set about trying to restrict the flow into the carb. Got close, but I know that whatever I do probably wouldn't last anyway and so I gave up for the night. Gotta order some jets I guess. I'll also bring my leak down tester with me tomorrow so that i'm not fighting a losing battle.
All in all, didn't get hardly anything done.
But, one of my buddies neighbors has an 06 Aprilia RSV 1000R (in perfect condition) that belongs to her 72 year old father and that she just wants out of her garage.... I won't say any more and jinks it.

I would love to have that. I used to ride my buddies TL1000R all the time. Something about a V Twin in a super bike just puts a smile on my face.

Not the easiest thing to ride but very exciting

Hey Spaz, got my prebug on the street tonight. Must say its fun as hell. the front end just doesnt like to stay on the ground and it could definetly use better brakes. You dont happen to know if the front end off a horizontal zuma will swap over?

What a funkled conundrum design that is! Love how simple it is to get to the carb with a pod filter on it!

You dont happen to know if the front end off a horizontal zuma will swap over? I think so probably because I've saw plenty of them with Aerox wheels and forks. Look up MBK Booster (same scoot) and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I was really, really hoping that I could get the tuning down by restricting the airflow because I can see how difficult swapping jets out is going to be. If I had the money, I'd get a Dellorto racing carb for it.
