Yep, missing the starter relay. I also see that I'm missing a tray/ shield that I surely want to get. Missing the seat lock too, but I'll deal with that later. I ordered the ignition switch last night but the one I ordered didn't include the seat lock. Limited budgets blow. Thanks a bunch PIG!

No worries. I put my new top end on, on my lunch break so i still have to put the motor back in frame when i get home. If you need any more pics now's the time. Let me know ASAP as i'll have it back together in the next three hours or so.

I bet that thing of yours is going to be a thrill off the line! Hopefully I'll be able to put some goodies on this one next year.

Epoxied some of the plastics the other night and started sanding. Gotta get some bondo in the cracks but I'll do that in a day or so. Got a few parts today so gonna go put those on and see if she'll fire up. This was cracked in two places and it's missing a chunk. Wont see it with the seat down, but I think that I'll try to make the missing piece. Removing the stickers was a real PITA. Front piece is almost ready for primer EDIT: I guess the air box didn't show up so it probably wont start. I'll try though!

spaz12what color or color combination are you going for? Red with the black highlights. I really liked the way that yours turned out and I think that this one will look pretty good with those colors as well.

Damn Yamaha's! Figures that the damn thing would start on the first kick! I was so wanting to spend a lot of my free time fixing it. Still have a bit to do to it. Couldn't source an exhaust gasket locally today, but I have another place that I can try tomorrow. Still need to make or buy a bracket for the pipe. Need to wire up the lights. Pretty sure it'll need lighter rollers. And I'll be damned if I can find my tuning rollers. Got the Bondo on tonight and letting that cure. Haven't fixed the missing chunks yet and if I don't do it soon, I probably never will, which will be sorta okay since the seat will cover those little parts and I'll never see them until I open the seat. Sorta bummed that there is no trunk to speak of on the damn little thing. Where the hell am I going to keep my oil? Maybe it'll never see any long trips? Oh, I have to pull the ignition switch back off and file down the steering lock pin. I'm not sure if it's mount got just a bit messed up when it was stolen, or if it's the ignition switch not being genuine Yamaha. No matter, it's a simple fix. Look ma, keys!

When I fix a cracked panel, I always take a dremel tool and run a round head rasp tool over the crack to gouge it out some. Then I apply fiberglass drywall tape to the back side with epoxy over the tape. On the finish side, I fill the crack with epoxy and sand it smooth. It keeps the panel from cracking again. Just my 2¢

Sucks that the pre-bugs don't have any storage under the seat like the newer ones do.

I use a small bag that I zip tied to rear rack for a little storage. It will hold a bottle of oil and a couple tools etc etc. Here's a bad pic, but I'm sure you get the idea.
