Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm more then happy with this one! looking good man! I cant wait to hear your feedback on that pg outer drive face. I have been thinking about getting one. It's about 30% lighter then stock(Just guessing) I'll weight it when my variator gets here. Since its 2 piece you may not be able to use it with a long drive boss,it just barely fits now but I have a slightly longer boss and a sef ramp. You could always use the ramp without the kickstart pawl. Might not be an option for high compression motors even though my electric starts starts this motor just fine.

You made the right call on the Corsa. Boost ports are more for moving the exhaust gasses out of the head area than for supplying transer mixture. The smaller boost port blows out this upper region more forcefully.
Polini ain't dummies.

Okay, done trying to thread Jack...

looking good man! I cant wait to hear your feedback on that pg outer drive face. I have been thinking about getting one. I weighed the 2 tonight, stock outer 10oz, PG 4.9oz. The pg will work with a longer drive boss just fine just need to shin cover with washers. Better if just used for kick start, the teeth have wear from a dozen or so starts with electric start.

Nice price but I like the raw metal finish not paint. I plan on building myself one soon. I had good results when I made one on my last 103, I just need some time as its a time consuming process.

From what I hear the PG Long and the Corsa go together like peanut butter and jelly.. I hear its a better match than the PG Short I'm running but the Long was always so elusive but now it seems like VT cycles has them on tap now... If I ever get an extra 300 to blow I will for sure grab a PG Long no doubt.

The more I ride this scoot the more I like it. I got my Polini variator installed using a sef ramp. I started high with the weights to keep rpms down on break in. I'm still kind of high at 6.6 but it pulls good and will bury the speedo quick. Lowering the weigh actually lowered the temps. I guess higher rpm - fan spins quicker - better cooling, to an extent. I can cruise and be in the 260-280 range. I'm sure being a bit rich also helps. Next objective check timings and ponder an exhaust. What rpm does the corsa make peak power??

I soo hate to see pipes with telescoping headpipes, header pipe, next is a larger pipe slid over the head pipe and so on,,PG,Leo vince,Technigas, etc. like this method cause its cheap,,works fine when the exhaust gas is going out,but what about the reflected returning mixture charge before the exhaust port closes?Kinda like a down hill skier on a stair well!Tapered head pipes are where its at,gotta have that smooth flow(in both directions) to have a decent pipe..A quiet pipe would be ideal for this ride, the Penton/KTM dirt bikes had the most simple set up kinda like this; Ive used this baffle setup on many pipes and love it,doesnt hurt the power at all,but makes it nice and quiet..

If I am understanding your sketch correctly, this baffle assembly could be added to something like a NEXT-R pipe or most any pipe for that matter?

Yes,no packing to wear out, just simple reversion and cooling of the exhaust gasses..
