Some are bigger than others. My taotao is a 21mm. I don't have a socket in metric big enough for my Kymco's and tgb, but my 15/16 fits nice and tight.

I squirted some fluid directly into the caliper with a syringe and bled it normally. Took about 5-10 minutes or so and my brakes feel stronger than they ever have. I mean, I can't pull the ball at the end of the lever more than an inch or so. With the ABS canister I was able to lock up the fronts if I really wanted to, but it took a lot of force.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the bottle of brake fluid just barely had enough to bleed out the old fluid and top off the master cylinder. Everything went barely perfectly with this.

So with the battery fully charged and after checking the wires it still doesn't crank without stopping on the compression stroke. (Vwomp vwomp) Decided to take the starter motor out and clean it. The positive wire to it was already partially hanging out and when I set it down after brushing all the dirt off the outside it fell and ripped the cable off. Ah well, I'll just solder it back together. Took the motor apart and cleaned out the halves in the sink. Man it was dirty. I haven't done anything with the armature yet. Do I need to buy contact cleaner or whatever?

Shit. Um, do they sell GY6 starter motor brushes anywhere? I maybe ripped the wire off of one trying to strip the end of the insulation off so I cold solder it.

You can't solder that end back on? I'm not very familiar with reconditioning electrical items, so I truly don't know if you can. If you need a starter motor I may have an extra off of a taotao. It should be the same.

It should be the same. I can't find any bushes for it so if you could spare a motor that'd be great. How much? I tried soldering the wire back onto the brush but it just won't stick.

I was gonna buy one of those, but hey, if I can get a used one for the price of shipping every dollar helps. (Buy more speed, that is.)

Bah. New fully charged battery and new used starter motor (I used the old armature and housing rather than clean the very dirty new one) and it still doesn't crank. I even hooked up the dash into the wiring harness and used the starter button instead of jumping the relay with a screwdriver but it still doesn't crank over anywhere near strong enough. Can't be the BBK since it still started the engine fine for a little while after I installed it and (I think) the battery went bad, which is why I ordered a new bigger battery that required removing the battery tray.
HELP. I don't know what could be causing it at this point. I've checked all the wiring between the motor and the battery and it all seems okay. Can't be the relay and I don't think it's the starter motor.

Looking back, it seems like your starting issue came just after messing with the CVT. Have you checked the bendix? Try loosening the bolts for the CVT cover, just barely. Leave them almost all the way in, but just loose enough that the cover isn't totally stuck in place. Try the starter then. I have had some be picky about spacing. Something as simple as the CVT cover gasket being discarded could change how the bendix functions. Worth a shot at least. If that does it, replace the cover gasket if it's gone or I've used thin washers under the bolts by the bendix before.

Sorry it was dirty, brother. It came off of a well used scooter case. And that was after I cleaned it up some! Nothing I own stays showroom clean, most doesn't get back to normal clean. Lol. Hope it wasn't a waste for ya! What was the story with your cvt cover and kick start? If that's toast and you can't find a cheap one, I've got one of those as well. I'm not sure if I've left it all assembled, but I have it.
