Damn noise scared another one off. Serious inquiry from a guy looking for something to carry on his bumper with his RV. Said he has a Road King, but it's too heavy. Something light like the 150 would be great. Very interested. Said he believes what I've told him about the noise and the price is right, but with his luck it will turn serious once he buys it. I get it. If I cared, I'd pull it apart and go over the whole engine again. At this point, I think I'd rather wait and take $250 if I had to. I don't see any reason to keep putting time/money into something that's already a loss.

I'll scout craigslist for other local frustrated Chinese scoot owners and invite them to a demolition derby. No, too easy. Maybe I could ride it overboard with my hands and feet shackled and see if the Roketa or I float to the surface first. Oooh, the tires could be filled with explosives and I could ride over an electrically charged bed of nails... but the nails would be dull and short aside from a few so it would be suspenseful. Do you think this thing will fit into one of those big circus cannons, and could they put enough oomph behind it to send it back to China?

Everything dried up for about a week. Now I have 2 people in the same day that say they want it or are very interested. One says he'll be here Monday. He had a Tomos, but sold it because he thinks he's too big for a 49cc. Shame he didn't still have it; I prob would have traded for that even though I really need garage space more than another 2T. I'd ride the Tomos just for the horn if it's like my friend's where the faster you go the higher pitched the horn gets. Amuses the hell out of me.  I've been pointing out that it has a noise that can be heard in the video. I don't want to waste my time or theirs if they're just gonna get scared when they hear it. I'm a lousy salesman. |

The guy that was supposed to be coming Monday now says he's getting excited to get the scooter so he's gonna make time to get here tomorrow instead. This is after I told him about the noise.
EDIT : Nvm. Back to Monday. He got so excited that he forgot he needs someone to take care of his kid so he can come here Friday and couldn't find anyone.
C'mon fellas. There has to be hope for this thing to find a home instead of sending it to it's demise. I'm trying to stay optimistic here.
