So a quick update that is not parts: I just got done desiginign my spacer, turns out 6mm is the magical number to get the best draft for air. Had a sit down with some senior engineers. Apparently the Piaggio fans tend to... burst apart. We will see though, this is the newer generation, they seem a lot sturdier than Gen1 or Gen0.5 I have clearance with my exhaust, which is nice. Still waiting for my parts to be shipped, as my bud had to order some stuff first. Went to see the scooter today when I took the bike out, we rode out the kart track, nice roads. Got a nice few miles in on my Kawasaki, it is good for sanity. I also got to ship some stuff for a forum member, soon I will be out of scooter parts... If I get the scooter to run before SBreak, St. Paddy's weekend, I will be in St.Louis and Louisville with it on a loop, trailering the scooter and riding the bike infront (wife will play our groups support vehicle)

Alright, spacer is officially done! I wanted it to offset, so I asked it in red I would say it is a 99% fit, which for its purpouse is more than enough! Reduced distance between blades and cover which means increased air draft. Also, temp sensor installed

Aren't you a little concerned that it might lose it's shape with the heat? Maybe add tabs on the inside and outside so that it keeps shape with the other two pieces?

it doesnt nudge, it is held in place by the cylinder cover (there are tabs underneath)
Also, yes it is a concern, BUT, the engine should not pass 100ºC at this spot, even the cylinder head barely reaches 130ºC, and the plastic has been tested by the printing guy way above 250º F (120C) without melting, so I am pretty ok right now. We will see, but I am pretty happy so far!

A quick lesson in clutch spring changing: I am swapping my soft springs for harder ones Take bell off, good tools help Untighten clutch, again, good tools help (Motoforce clutch tool in this case, put it on, bang the whole thing on the ground) Twine/wire helps get the old springs out. looks good here, but the twine was too weak. still pretending it worked. New, harder ones in. If these are too soft still i can adjust the preload. I used the same methos, just tougher material this time. And my wifes handy hands. Whole unit without clutch Push down, put clutch on, tighten nut with your third hand. All done on nothing but the kitchen table. Easy huh? Ignoringall the swearing, FUCKES:OFINEJKS>FN>KSEFJN SPrings

I need to go buy a bucket.... My brother is a sissy boy, can't hold the ass end up for long and wiggles around. Makes hanging the engine rushed and frustrating. Glad to see forward momentum on your build again!

Sounds nice. You always run it with no air filter?

No, I washed out my filter and it was still wet, but i was too impatient. THis was really just a quick "everything ok?" run
It is again in 1.000.000 pieces as I am getting the electrics ready for the track

Took the fork ot again today to check a wobble I had. Turns out, 5year ago me was a dumbass and mounted the bearings the wrong way, meaning it was plate, bearing, recieving plate, instead of plate, rec plate and bearing. I shall hence forth be called idiot.
It was easy to beat the plates off, clean them and pit them back on. The bearing cage is messed up though, we are sitting at the kitchen table trying to fix it right now
