Dusted out the Typhoon today as we have a big rally this weekend and I wanted to work a bit on the CVT, the clutch could be more aggressive and the one or two higher on the Main Jet. So we took it for a nice little ride around the backroads around here. At one point I passed her on the Stella while she was doing around 70mph and I just flew by. Really need to get a proper reading with the GPS in soon. I also upped tire pressure. So we went on the twisties around our small town. Scared some cars, had some fun. Just before a nice tight and fast corner, Engine dies. I grin. That's it. Seize. She flies by in the turn smiling like she just beat me. I try a kick. Still compression. I check the spark cable. Nope. I check the carb. Nope. I check the Ignition. Nope. I check the grounding cable. Nope. Guess what? Fcking FUEL. I was out of fuel. TUrns out this things DEVOURS fuel now. That's what 12.000rpm do to you, I suppose. We were close to a farm so I rolled in and the guy was really nice. The kids were super excited about both bikes, especially the Stella. With a small liter of fuel I just did a quick estimate on the premix ratio and off we were. Thanked them with a small wheelie. Back the way we came. In only jeans, which is usually to my style, I barely needed to brake, getting faster and faster. Here are some pics: Thank you random Ohio Farmer! The fam all together

Alright, it was WKRP Rally in Cincinnati, hosted by the Vulcans and XYL Scooter Club. Friday afternoon I trailered mine and a friends scooter down to Cincy and met with a friend at Cincy's Metro Scooter. We hit a brewery as I was exhausted from hauling shit around. Then the rain hit us hard. But we still showed up as a good dozen to ride to the first event of the rally. A 45mins ride was cut short. The Typhoon ran great. Club friends knew what was coming for them. Had trouble getting of the red lights as it just skidded in the rain for several feet. Also several almost-highshiders happened. When I switched bikes with a guy who barely weighs 120lbs, I saw what the Typhoon can really do. The thing just FLEW off. I improvised a mudflap with ductape so I do not end up sucking in all the water into my pod. Arriving at the first location, we pretty much were the first and only ones that rode there so far, aside from the organizers. Great first impressions were made! Over the course of the night I met some great people and a lot of interest was peaked for the little Typhoon. Day 2 started off with a breakfast buffet and a little meet up at a Bourbon breakfast bar (that's a thing!) We then took off for a 40mile ride (!) in sunshine. I was very concerned for my engine. Overheating? Running weird? Too lean? Losing bolts? But guess what? IT RIPPED. That fucking thing stayed together and put smiles on everyones faces. After 25miles we had a fuel stop to wait for stragglers, which was great because I already had to refill 1.2 gallons of fuel We then headed to our favorite bar in Cincinnati, which coincidentally is the same place I got married. We had some great beer and then got ready for the ride. A lot of acknowledgment was given to me, which, especially from the vintage community, mean a lot to me. We then headed for an Arcade bar with a smaller group and then got dinner, brought the Typhoon to a garage and I rolled out with the Stella to the evenings festivities where folks were more thirsty. After a thumb wrestling competition, there were rally awards and raffles. Yours truly won "Best Cut Down" Award, usually going to vintages. There was some banter, all in good fun and it was a great end to a great rally!

To the sadder part:
I think this will be my last project and it will be coming to an end soon in the 50cc scene, as I have caught the vintage fever.
I am already in the planning for a Modern inspired vintage "Stupid Fun" project, as I usually do and will sell the engine of the Typhoon. Message me if interested, i will post a detailed FOR SALE post here later tomorrow. I have been proven that the engine is a beast for what it is, only to be driven by madmen. And with the ignition and fantastically working AC cooling, it is a very simple PLUG&Play, kick, rip and forget build. BUY IT, MOUNT IT, RIDE IT!
I will give this forum a chance first to grab it before I post it elsewhere, as you are such a great community!
