The check is in the mail... err the paperwork I mean! I completed the final preliminary steps which is to fill out the remaining few documents and for expedited service they recommend scanning the documents and emailing them over ahead of time- which I did. The "originals" went out in the mail today. Now to just wait! The site says they will send me a paypal invoice to my email when they receive the documents... What's the latest news, please?

I do have a bit of an update- a delay more precisely, and it was my fault. Doh! After faxing and snail mailing all my documents I started keeping an eye on my email for the Paypal invoice to come. After almost two weeks went by I decided to email them and ask when I should expect to see the invoice? Right after hitting the "send" button my spidey senses kicked and I had the idea that maybe I should do a search query through my emails (I've had the same Yahoo email since 1994 so I get dozens and dozens of emails a day). Wouldn't you know it- there it was. I feel like a real dummy sending them that email now. They sent me an invoice nearly ten days ago!! It was actually a little more than I was expecting- $190.00. Keep in mind that a 49cc scoot would probably about half that price. Should have another update soon!

Damn, that's a bit pricey. Yeah that's what I was thinking. Add the additional $135 or so to retitle and register in FL and it's about a $325 process... :/ Considering what I paid (traded) for this scoot I'm still ok with it.

Actually, since this is a 200cc "Motorcycle" idk how much it's going to cost to retitle and register :/ Plus, I might be required to carry insurance on it?? Ima hafta look into all this...

I would imagine it would need to be insured, but stacking it with your car insurance makes it really cheap.

yeah, I thought that the site mentioned that it was $200 for newer bikes, and $150 for a small one??
In Nevada, we NEED the Title to register at the DMV. No way around it.
I went DMV several days ago, and brought paperwork for all three scoots to do it in one sitting, but I have to get the actual Title for me ET2 if I want to register it for 2017...
Btw, my GTS 300 scoot was only $39 extra annually for FULL COVERAGE insurance!!! Dang!! So, it should be pretty cheap if you need to insure yours...

If it needs insurance you may want to look into rider insurance, www.rider.com I have 3 cycles insured with them and it's less then $100 for the year.

Looks like Progressive is really the only motorcycle/scooter insurance provider in my state. (CT) I did an insurance quote with them just now and even with counting bicycles in the "years of riding experience" my quote was 100 bucks a year for the cheapest option.
Not like I legally need insurance anyway.

Whoops sorry guys I should've updated this a long time ago!
I still haven't finished this process which is in no way Motorecyclenows fault- I just couldn't afford to do it yet. I was all ready to go with the $$ when I started the process and sent in all my paperwork, but such as life goes- I had to contact them and ask if I could defer the process for a bit until I could pay the bill... in my case it's $190 (49 cc scoots should be much less). They were very kind and assured me that it was no problem and they'd process the paperwork whenever I was ready. Well I just recently got the scoot running decent enough to put it on the road (legally!). It's costs me more than I expected to get this vintage thing running reliably and I still actually need some things. I've only been able to work on it here and there when I can find the time but hopefully I'll be resuming the process soon! Sorry it's taking so long but I'm just too dang poor! lol.
