Got some other scooter stuff out of the way and now I can spend some time on the this project. I had a couple ideas for the footpegs and decided to go with this. It looks a little chunky, but I think it will be sturdy. The floorboard will tie into it somehow, yet to be determined.

I was able to squeeze in some quality time with the scooter today. I spent quite a bit of time working on the floorboard. It's not quite finished yet, but it is mounted and very sturdy. I still plan on trimming the sides in some way, and of course everything will be black. I took a few short test rides around the warehouse area and I gotta say this scoot is even more comfortable than my Kymco ZX with the farings in place. The extra room created up front by removing the plastics has made the balance and ride of this scooter even better. For whatever reason the ZX just fits me and my weight really well.

Once you get nekkid, full fairings just never feel right again. Tritons make nice naked rides too... just sayin'.

Working on the wiring a bit, and have decided to use the stock tail light instead of the one I was working on. I may still switch to it if I can find a way to get the aluminium plate bent the way I want to. The stock tail light looks pretty good and I added the turn indicators from FeeBay.

I got the headlight modded and most of the wiring hooked up and tested over the last few days. Everything works ok so now comes the task of finishing tucking and hiding everything as necessary. What a chore the wiring has been! I also cleaned up the loose paint on the grab bar/rack combo and my buddy hit it with the mat black spray can.

do u need a license in sc to ride a scooter You have to pass a knowledge and vision test and get a moped license, unless you already have a valid drivers license.

Today I trimmed the floorboard but I forgot to take a picture of it. I also took it on a nice long ride, wires hanging and flying everywhere. I believe it is the first decent ride that scooter has been on in a long while, it seemed happy. Lol
After the ride I took the floorboard off and cleaned it and painted it with self etching primer then flat black. I also took the front mini windshield off along with the front fender and prepped them for painting but it started raining so I will have to paint them another day.

Snapped a picture this morning after I bolted the floorboard back up, I think it came out real good!

I like the flat black luggage rack. My stock(silver)one is scratched up and was thinking of repainting it. Was going to try bed liner(textured) paint. Figured it would be a different look.
