Sorry, pasted wrong link, its fixed now. Ah... That one will fit. How are the Arreche carbs? I have only worked with the Dello PHBG's. Will the stock echoke fit on the Arreche? Arreche are not as common as the Dells. As for jets I am unsure of what they take(size). Iv read that the stock e-choke should fit. This might help They also make a manual choke kit. My friend got the scoot with the carb already installed. Iv wanted to try one myself, but the only sources I could find were RP and mototechusa.(one in the same) I wish I had more "wrench" time with the Derbi's to give you a better answers.

My 2001 Derbi Atlantis has a manual choke that has a thumb tab mounted on the handlebars. I actually prefer the manual choke over the electric choke. I have seen the choke lever on ebay for sale if you want to go that route.

Af1 is a good source for Derbi parts. The only drawback is, you have to get the original part numbers to type into the search engine. You can pull up a parts diagram on google and download the file as a pdf for the Atlantis. There is also a service manual located in the manuals tab on the left of the screen on this site.

I made good progress on the Derbi today. I got the 19mm Dell clone carb fitted, and in a decent state of tune but it took a while. The Doppler air filter I am using flows more than I thought it would despite having only one of the 3 holes in it opened up. Initially I was trying to set the carb up like it was using a stock air box. Then I finally realized the Doppler flowed closer to a pod style filter. After that the tune got better pretty quick. I will try to take some video of the scoot tomorrow, I love the way this scoots sounds!
I also got all of the plastics installed and found fasteners to replace all the missing ones. The only thing this scoot needs is a grab bar and an access cover for the opening in the bottom of the seat bucket. Other than that it is ready to sell, I guess.

Heck ya! Nice job Oldgeek! U sure u haven't fallen in love with it?? hehehe I do like the motor! Its amazing the parts that are available for it, you can get some real nice stuff. But the frame and legroom just aint enough for me. However my buddy that rides with me is in love with the Derbi and thinks I should let him ride it instead of the Vino, I never thought I would see the day he would give up the Vino! My buddy and I riding and having "scooter therapy" is a large part of why I love scooters

Shoot ya most of the good stuff is for the Piggys first then the Mina. I guess if your buddy falls in love with it you could sell the Vino instead and get the same or more $$? Or is that blasphemous talk?? haha m

When I first rode this scoot, there was a vibration in the CVT just after you got rolling good. It was happening in a very narrow spot. I figured a good cleaning of the CVT would cure it but it is still there even on deceleration as the CVT shifts down. There was a gummy place on the variator bushing that cleaned up well and I thought for sure it would fix it but it didn't. I am pretty sure it's the variator so I guess a new one is needed unless someone has an idea.

The Derbi looks almost new and would definitely bring more $. I guess I should list it before me or my buddy get too attached.

See if you see the belt getting slack or anything else that raises an eyebrow. Maybe it'll give you a little more idea of where the problem could be.

It's hard for me to sell the scooters I have because I get too attached to them thinking about what I can do to them. Especially the Derbi's.
