Looks like a bigger vehicle is needed to reduce the dismantling or put a trailer to use. I suppose a 150cc scoot engine could be mounted on it and then just ride the mobility to the store.
Get some rest.

Milly, take a couple days off to just take care of your self and Yolanda. You both deserve it. Besides that, Everyone on here is quite Full of Advice. Don't make us use it!

Have a couple of days off Milly. We forget we are not youngsters anymore. Sometimes push ourselves too far.

I installed a class IV hitch on the F-150 tonight. 4 carriage bolts and plates have to be fished through the frame. 3 went well. 1 did not want to cooperate. Then the 100lb hitch has to be lifted and aligned. A friend is bringing his ‘67 Wildcat over Fri or Sat to see if we can get his electric seat moving again so I asked him for 5 minutes of help when he’s here, but I tried a jack instead. It fell off of that while I was under there. OK, fine. I drug the transmission jack out of the shed and it turned out that I could bolt the hitch to it. The bolts should be torqued to 210ft-lbs. My biggest wrench goes to 200 and is about 18” long. Ever try 200ft-lb with a smallish torque wrench laying on the ground? Fun stuff. I hit it with the impact gun as well to be sure.

Good job!
A+ in Innovation.
p.s. I have employed a hydraulic jack with a torque wrench and listened hard for that click. A person gets creative when old and weak.
BTW- keep the hitch inside the truck. They tend to grow legs when parked.

keep the hitch inside the truck. They tend to grow legs when parked. My father said the same thing to me and I said, "No one's stealing a hitch ball." Some folks will take anything though. I plan to remove it just to save shins and knees anyway.

I plan to remove it just to save shins and knees anyway. Wrong, they will steal it. They will pull out the whole hitch if they can. I have had friends that had the hitch ball stolen. There are locking pins available which keep some people from stealing it but not always. People will steal anything and everything they can get their hands on. I once had someone steal the vent window glass out of my locked car. I was not gone very long either. The parking lot had a security patrol also. Some people are constantly looking for absolutely anything to steal, anyone to rob, assault, or rape. People are sick.

Is the daughter moving in to that grounded caravan? For a couple of weeks then they got a mobile home arriving. Bit damp I should think being that close to the ground.

Today putting the mobility scooter rack together which went fairly easy for a change. Just got to find a receiver hitch now with the box section attached as my new towbar only has a ball.

Fiend of mine had the exact same car when we were in high school. I now regret and am deeply sorry for all the bullying we did to that Wildcat.

Nice work on a beautiful old classic.
It looks like the suspension springs could use a little TLC also. The springs sag over time from carrying all that weight. There are so many things that fail from old age on cars like that.
