Tell us a little more about those 'delay' boxes please.

HVAC systems use delay boxes like these: www.amazon.com/dp/B002JP6YSQwww.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GICK3CO-IF the links work... The delay on break box is useful for catching a power blip that will stall a refrigeration compressor. The delay on make box is useful for delaying startup of a compressor when power comes back on. They are used to control the contactor in the condenser unit or in my case a contactor in the power circuit supplying the refrigerator outlet. I have not decided on the circuit configuration I will use. I have a range of parts to play with.

They make plug-in surge and power fail protectors for refrigerators but they look a mite bit sketchy to me and make wild claims. I have loads of work to do before the new refer gets here. I need to fix the power with actual industrial components, install a water line and shut-off valve, and raise my kitchen cabinets 2.5 -3". I could have bought a cheaper refer unit but the Samsung model will meet my physical needs better and it is ADA compliant. I don't bend over so easy anymore. It is hard to stand on my head to work on scoots and find stuff in the refrigerator. The people delivering and installing the unit will have to remove the doors to get it in the house. Back in high school I used to have to do that all the time when I made deliveries for a Western Auto store. Freezers and washing machines in basements, and we always hauled the old units away for free... Times have changed. BTW- I am getting a side-by-side refrigerator. A Samsung model RS28A500ASR, 36" 28 CU. FT. It is 3" wider and 2" taller than my old unit.
-Damn link does not work due to Proboards click-bait redirects but if you copy and paste or google the samsung model you should be able to see it. Home Depot and Lowes sells it. The price is nearly the same +/- $50 everywhere. I bought it at my local Homie Depot to keep the sales tax in my city.
I don't cook anymore, I am dangerous. I could burn down the house just boiling water. I 'nuke' food in the microwave. So a nice big freezer for 'TV dinners' like we used to call them is good. I do OK with a microwave and a tiny electric grill. For variety I know where the fast food places and restaurants are. Getting old and feeble sucks especially when you ain't rich. This refer purchase cleans out my bank account just in time for high summer utility bills.

Got the new ice-maker water line in with a shutoff on same floor per code. Only one leak where I cut out an old rusty saddle-tap type ice-maker fitting and replaced it with a shutoff valve. Still working on dedicated electrical circuit for fridge. I am decommissioning an old illegal 3-wire FPE sub panel and moving all the circuits to a new 4-wire Siemens panel I installed a few years back but never hooked up.

I did spark plugs, air filters, fuel filters and oil changes on both riding mowers. Changed the oil on the push mower... probably the 2nd time I've done it in ~10 years. I tend to neglect tiny four-strokes. I don't know if I've ever changed the oil in the 4T string trimmer and it's just shy of 20 years old. lol Making removing the engine shroud part of the routine after heat related major repairs twice now on this riding mower. Looks like it was well needed. A headless mouse made a nest there.

Life was much simpler when all we had for tools was a rock and a club.

Nice looking shed.
Where I live we are only allowed one shed. My shed is an 8x10' and the door is too heavy for the hinges so it will not close properly. I have new hinges but it will take someone inside and outside the shed to install them.

Ours is 8 x 6 one of our doors I noticed is just starting to drop but it does hit the prevailing wind on that side. Got it very cheap from a neighbour across the way when one of their tenants moved out for £40 or £50 must be over 10 years old now, floor needs locking at this year at some point when empty.

Today was change the blown rear box. Damn pattern part had to be cut, bent and rewelded. I of course supervised the job as some of you have seen my welding skills. I was surprised at the lack of strength in my arms to remove the old exhaust, had to get the lad to help me several times as my shoulders kept aching. Must be a combination of age and taking down and putting up stuff at the festival at the beginning of the week

Changed the yellowish fog light bulbs for cool white led versions and I’m impressed. Next up is a new grille and a CarPlay/Android radio head-unit thingy.

Got the new grille today and slapped it on with minimal swearing. Removing the grille was easy, the badges were a B!tch! The results, priceless.(well,$40)

The new head unit arrived and I was pleasantly surprised by the sound difference over the stock unit. I have an external amp and subwoofer connected, but it’s way louder now. It will do for $130 Before After

Nice work, but I don't believe the part about 'minimal swearing'.
