Nice work, but I don't believe the part about 'minimal swearing'. Well, it’s a mk5, those where pretty ok to work on (compared to the newer mk7 and8’s). The newer ones require “more than minimal swearing”. I’ve got an mk7 coming in for service on monday, and it has the lower grill damged… it requires the whole bumper to be removed… also have a Renault Twingo 3 coming in, has a bad lambda sensor, that one requires the rear bumper to be removed to gain access… and for that, the taillights have to come out. I love drving Euro cars (German ones) but they’re becoming more and more of a PITA to work on…

Making cars to 'work on' costs money up front during the design phase so they don't do it anymore.

The renault came in a day early ( it’s my dad’s, so i don’t mind doing that one on a Sunday), and i got it done without much hassle imo. Taillights out (1 handscrew per unit), bumper off (2 screws pretty well hidden in the wheel arches), then the metal shroud and the actual metal bumper off, and i had decent access to it. It’s a small engine, but it’s confined in a small bay too… I think i spent 2,5hrs total, for something I expected around 4, so that went well (I expected 4, as i have bad experiences with french cars…)

Helping some friends clear up the graveyard in penuel chapel in Carmarthen they just bought to turn into a paranormal museum. The brambles must have been over 6ft high. The chapel is lovely and peaceful and has seating for 800 people and the organ still works. At the turn of the 1900's a vicar is well documented for his healing work there as well. I am very stiff and aching but listened to my body and not my brain today after using a weed Wacker for ages and stopped working and now ready for a night's sleep after a painkiller shortly.

Clearing up graveyards has a tendency to induce paranormal activity, so that might be a plus for their museum Although i try to avoid religious places of any kind if i can, i do always appreciate the woodwork that went in these thing, and it surprises me that these benches and balustrades are in such good shape.

It looks like someone has only just polished it recently. Many small chapels about around us in Wales with really nice woodwork still in place.

You need to retire from an active role in these activities and just 'supervise' or you may end up planted there.
The place is absolutely gorgeous. Over here in Kansass the woodrot, termites, and carpenter ants would have reduced it to dust.

So that is where you get your local water supply... Welsh water. No wonder you have to boil it first to make tea or coffee. I bet they do a bang up business selling water filters too. Our local water company won some awards for water quality last year. Of course we would all die of thirst if they stopped flushing the toilets in Topeka and Lawrence.

We worked on running away from the children today cycle training. I decided to show Sophiya and Phil my two trainees that there is nothing wrong with an extended lunch break on company time when we have to deal with today's little Gremlins in the pouring rain and kids never come to Joio as not close enough to the school

Training the newbies correctly! We must pass our knowledge on to the next generation even though much will be lost because they don't listen and learn. BTW- Where are their Loony plates? -And her helmet? -Also get extra signed receipts for the expense reports to cover those additional expenses we always have.

I spent a large part of the day cleaning Scootopia, reorganizing and throwing stuff away. I have a bunch of horizontal Minarelli cases taking up a lot of space, some are cut for stroker cranks. I doubt I will ever build them out. I need to get rid of most of the Minarelli stuff so look in the for sale thread for a list of stuff I will be posting as I find it.
