I work for a sign company where I do permit acquisition work all day but come from a design and fab background ( we don't do either, just installs).
I actually got to start designing our new sign today. I have no limits other than what county code will allow.

Took a shower, shaved my face, watched some TV, Fooled around with my GF a little, sprayed some roundup on some weeds, did the dishes... Kellilee says I look sexy when I do the dishes.

I just worked on getting the AC in the house working. Got some new brushes from Grainger (36XD23) to clean the A-coil. Cut one down to fit in a long 1/4" drill bit extension. I don't want the long handle. Smoothed the wire end with a belt sander. I will shove it into a drill motor to see how it works tomorrow. The bristles may not be stiff enough. I used to have to clean the lint off with an old toothbrush.

Set up for a dance recital in one of the theaters I manage, now I get to sit in my office and catch up on the website while they rehearse. I hope to be home by 10. It's the second of three I have to endure this month.

Installed a new service panel and breaker box in a house down the street. I ran wire from the disconnect on the pole, fourty feet underground, to the house meter disconnect. From the meter base I ran leads to the main bars, then ran twelve breakers to different plugs and lights. Gotta love working on new construction, where the drywall is not up yet.
Going to eat a bite of lunch and go back and run another new box in the garage. Twelve GFCI plugs, FOUR 220 volt plugs, and seven four foot over head 2x2 4ft fluorescent fixtures.

Center bearing (driveshaft) on my Chevy as I apparently toasted it as well... Not a good drive train weekend! At least the new variator is on the way and should be here Monday by 8...

I worked on a 4T scoot. It is the first one I ever wrenched I do believe.
I met a guy named Demeter that lives in Bulgaria a few years back. He and his girlfriend comes here to work during the summer for the last 4 years, but was he was unable to get a work visa this year for some reason. His girlfriend was able to get her visa and is here now. She went and pulled their 4T scoot from storage and was unable to get it running, it's been in there since the end of last summer. Demeter told her to find me and ask me to take a look at it for her. I dont know much about 4T's, but she was too cute to say NO to!
I drained the gas tank and carb bowl, refilled with fresh hightest but it still wouldn't start. I pulled the carb off and sure enough it is sealed, so I took it to the warehouse and slotted the screws with a rotary tool and got it apart. it was full of some kind of clear jell. I cleaned everything real good, found some decent screws and slapped it back together. Got it back to her place installed it on the scoot, and it immediately roared to life, well it didnt really roar, cause it's a 4T. LoL! I used a dozen zip ties to keep the plastics in place and I am done. I will add a picture of them later if they agree.

I cooked breakfast/brunch from 8AM to 3PM. It was hot. It was humid. It sucked. It means my bills are paid, so yay. I guess...

Progress... Went to take the elite for a well deserved ride and it died at the end of the neighborhood. Smell something burnt... Vacuum line was laying on the exhaust. Tomorrow is another day.,

a friend buys scooters and sells them and everytime he buys one with a problem he brings to me to fix. well this morning he brought me one that wouldnt start... i went to start it and immediately knew it had very low compression, hooked the tester up and yep, barely 65PSI... now i have been telling this guy for months now to buy a cheap compression tester to take with him when he buys scooters or he could even borrow mine... he refuses to listen... so guess who gets to make a quick 150$ today installing a bbk on his scooter

I have been re-utilizing my old T60 laptop with 64GB SSD into a media playback device. My Thinkpad x120e though of which is newer (on left) was making a torrential sound within the fan. I thought high pressure air into the exhaust vent could resolve it with the unit powered off.. it didn't quite help out after startup. So I found out adding a tap of oil directly into the fan bearing location would silent it again. It was quite a journey meticulously disconnecting apart the keyboard / chips / motherboard itself / just to extract the fan and add a dab of oil and spin it around to audibly hear quiet spin results. It made me appreciate the folks who build em' but then again it's not the most difficult job, it is though a job that help keep the internet working great.
