I was cutting grass last night and a bracket that holds the deck on the old mower broke. Switched to the new mower. It was squeaking. I checked it out and the front wheel was wobbly (bad bearings). Got parts and repaired both today and cleaned the decks and sharpened blades. If I could just get my grass to stop growing, I'd like the summer so much more. I cut it 2" tall when I can, lately it's so thick I have to do 2.5". Some pro mower that goes by talks to my father in the hardware store and says I'll kill the grass cutting it so low. Believe me, I'm trying and it just won't die.

Just pave over it Vert. I've been working with my old man to move everything over from our old busted boat to a new hull for a couple days a week and it is finally coming to fruition. We (I) are going to put in the new steering cable tomorrow and set up the throttle assembly.
Not so much what I worked on today, but it still counts right?

Getting ready for winter already so I spent yesterday splitting fire wood. Got about 1 cord done, I'd like to get 2 more done. That will make me happy. Free heat yay! It's coming

I'm lucky; my power bill (that's all I have) is a hundred and four dollars a month, every month. It's a cool little program the power company has here. I pay more than I would in the winter, but I don't get those surprise 300 dollar power bills in the summer.

I use a splitter, I'm a lazy lumberjack! It is interesting to know what can be done with "one horsepower".

Sucks for you Our water here is pretty cheap, which is sorta surprising considering that we're in the desert. Most everyone has gone to desert landscaping as well.
