Got a little week day shop time in. Finished designing the part of the mount that will attach to the motor. Its 1/8 steel. CAD And this is as far as I got today. Spent too much time running to Lowes to get spray can glue

Its one thing to run out of argon because you were welding a tonne or metal, its another to run out because you're an idiot that left the valve open on a fresh tank......... Did find a place thats open on weekends though.

Got the tire mounted on the wheel and the wheel on the scooter. ..... Major setback. I now need the brake, shock, muffler swing arm mount bracket thing. Not easy to find and I don't want a cast alum one like a stock Majesty since it will most likely need to be modded. Might just make one.

There are a few inches of shaft sticking out past the wheel. Even with the rotor on it will still be a lot. This area is typically taken up by the shock, brake caliper, muffler mount. Got about 3/8 inch of clearance. You can also see the 2 mounting holes for the swing arm mounting bracket. After looking at factory parts I may scrap my motor mount and buy a stock one. Doing some math the I dont think load and pivot sits in a very good place if I keep going with what I got. I'll some weeks to think about it because I'm at a fiduciary wall for the next 2 weeks.

Had to turn the intake around. Turns out is an alum piece with a plastic coating. It could use some porting and polishing, as you can imagine quality isn't exactly top notch. That crossmember will be getting cut out and another added behind the intake. Final ride height and engine location determined. Thanks to a super accurate jig.

The swingarm, mounting bracket finally showed up and its the wrong part. Not been able to do much because of the weather and now that it looks like there will be a break in the heat and humidity I don't have much to do. Hopefully I can get the part switched out for the correct one in a timely manner.

Finally got the mount lined up and tacked in today after many hours of checking and rechecking plum, level, straight and true. Hardly done though I am going to add 2 more braces that splay out and back from the mount to just in front of the gas tank hoop. Leaving just the up the uprights would not hold to lateral forces. The best part is I can now take the heavy front forks off and move things around on the table to get some more work going. Still need a swing arm though. I thought I found a local-ish place, that had one but I don't think they exist anymore. No one at the brick and mortar store, no store there either. No answering of the phone either. Left a message so hopefully some one will call back.http://www.scootersparts.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_972&products_id=2617 I'd like to make sure it will fit in person. They also show a punch of other little things I will need for this build.
