phranc did your motor have sealant on the coolant elbow that goes from the water pump to the cylinder? I noticed mine did, but it also has an o ring. surely they wouldn't come this way from the factory as I have always heard that o rings and sealant shouldn't be used together.
mine wasn't leaking but with the bbk the cylinder is larger so the angle isn't quite right for the elbow. so now I am pretty sure rvt is going to be required for it to seal properly.

It has sealant. I think the factory put sealant on everything to fill small gaps that may or may not have been formed from the casting process as a CYA move.

So the end of the year thing isnt happening. The water stores in my shop are frozen and wont be thawed out anytime soon because winter decided to hit hard.

http://instagram.com/p/BfWQi0RH_3i the solder flow popped right off but there were some remnants of solder. I baked this to out gas it at 400 and there was no flow. The Eastwood product works great as does the smoker unit. User error is the cause of any issues so far. When I tried to put the blue candy over clear I got delamination of the layers. I thing this because I let the white start to cure. On the blue over alum knife scales I didn't clean it good enough , should have pre baked it. They will be stripped and done over. I will clean up the 20 years of abuse too with some sanding. http://instagram.com/p/BfWVcEHnhAO
