That's the first time I've seen a 2T on a scooter like that. Nice! Yeah, same here! I was confused at first, thinking the pics were of the 4T scoot. Very interesting set up. First time I've seen 2T motor on a 4T body style like that one.

Nice find Ben. Congrats on the cool new project. I may have to stretch it like your scoot! Though that would take away the fun. I like how the intake comes out the back Too bad it's such a small intake. It would be awesome to use that system on my Triton and have the carb coming out back there. I wouldn't have space issues then! But, I have my UNI filter coming today, so that should take care of it. Too bad it's raining By the way, does anybody have any info they can give me on not only how to convert an A/C motor to L/C, but where I would get the parts to do it?

You'll need: Radiator and hoses.A pump to move your coolant. And of course, a liquid cooled jug and head of your choice. I would go with electric on the pump. Not only does it reduce your engine load, its much cheaper. Here is a diagram of the cooling system for a liquid cooled mina. They've got parts too, but they're mad expensive. And a diagram of the stock pump assembly, in case you wanted it.

Oh, and about that rear mounted intake. I should have thought of it before when we were talking about your Triton filter issue. Scrappydog sells a rear facing intake (half way down the page) for the 1E40QMB. It's aluminum, as well. Could easily be modified. Well, much easier than the cheap rubber ones I'm used to.

Awesome, thanks for the links! Those intakes on scrappydog are literally exactly what this engine came with. I took the carb off last night, which was insanely dirty. I'm gonna see if I can clean it up a bit , throw some fresh gas in, and see if it fires up. If it runs how it is, that's a plus! If not, I'll be doing a teardown.
By the way, I wonder if the radiator and pump off of my Ninja would work? It's an electric pump, and I'm gonna be changing the radiator soon anyhow (there's a small dent in it, and I got a great deal on a new one)

Really... you can use whatever radiator you want. It's all about placement and clearance, though.
Same with the hoses and the pump. You can use whatever will work. Doesn't have to be specific for a scooter. It's all about just moving coolant from one place to another.
Challenge: LC swap for under $100. (Not including cylinder and head). Seeing as you might use your Ninja's rad, this is very doable for you!

I've got $20 tied up in the new radiator. I'm off to price a water pump!

Do I need a coolant tank or not? My Ninja uses one, and the diagram for the SR 50 shows one, but that ATV engine doesn't have one.

Use the oil tank! This is going to be great. And once you go LC your options for high end cylinders really expand.
I'm glad someone is finally trying this. I was thinking about it a little while back. I know it's possible to do it on the cheap, just takes some thought and willingness.
Upboats for you, my friend.
