Hey Ben, What size tire is that on the front? Ide really like to get a lower profile front for Skeedr soon....

The front tire SHOULD be the same as the rear one. I didn't check. But going off of pictures I took of my spare tires, it could be a 100/60-12

I just took the battery compartment door off, and there was still a battery in it! Took it downstairs and checked the voltage. Check this out!  |

Stick it on a trickle charger and it's ready to move some coolant! It's sitting on one as I type  It's a 6 amp hour, compared to the one in my Triton thats a 4 amp hour. This thing just keeps getting better! From the looks of things, it should be able to accept a 12 inch regular tire. I have to check it out a bit more, though. I'm in the process of removing all the plastics and I'm gonna see if I can fire it up. |

Ran into a snag when I got all the plastics off. I noticed the exhaust was really loose, so I took off the rear fender that was covering most of the area, only to find that when the scooter was crashed, it broke off both of the pieces that attach the exhaust to the engine. The pieces are still there, and it's a nice clean break, at least. I'm going to try and weld them back in place.
Otherwise, after inspecting the rest of the engine, it looks immaculate. I pulled the fan cover off to see what shape the cylinder was in. The head looks brand new, and the cylinder has a bit of rust, like usual, but it's still about 75% unrusted.
The sticker from the insurance company listed it as a 2008, and it looks like it's been sitting for a bit, but from the looks of things in general, I'd say that this scooter was probably bought new at the end of 2008, rode for a few months, and then the insurance company scrapped it because of the broken exhaust mounts.

You need two halves from the same engine, otherwise the mating surfaces for the reed block and cylinder won't match up.
