Maybe your sister-in-law has a sleeper TaoTao and she's messin' with you. Ha maybe, she bought it off an older guy who used it to pull a homemade golf caddie trailer around.

If it is SLOW, put everything back to stock. Check the valve clearance. Check the actual cam timing, find TDC using a pencil or screwdriver and check where the cam sprocket is, mark at top and hole on either side at cam cover level. See how it works with just the BB installed. You should note acceleration from a standstill should have a bit more 'grunt'. If it doesn't, go back and check the things again. If the carb is messed up, stock jetting, no changes, fix that and check again. You should note improved performance without doing any tuning at all. If you don't get that, then there is something amiss. Check again. Could it be the CVT belt/weights/cluch/tire pressure/dragging brakes????? tom

Hey I have a question about the 47mm. Which I have installed on my 2012 Tao Tao 5cc. Is that I had bought a new head and ended up getting the 64mm head on accident. Ended up swapping the 69 mm valves onto the 64 mm head. I was wanting to know if anybody's done that and what were their results having some high-end clattering. the bike gets off the line fast. But top speed and full throttle around 8k valves start clattering. Was seeing if anyone knows about my mod/ motor

That's likely the valves hitting the piston. The 69mm heads have different porting, and a different angle. I'm afraid only bad things are going to come from your experiment

I installed 47mm BBK. Installed a 20mm carb. What number jets should I install in my carb to get the tuning right? I have a high performance exchaust on as well.
