what spark plug you think this cylinder uses? I know it needs to be longer than the one used for a a/c mina. I think it should be a br9es(like for the banshee/blaster) but not sure. some knowledge would be appreciated! Looking for sparky for w/c mina??

Yes heatrange 9. It;s either a BR9ES or BR9HS But when you need long threads on the plug your choice of plug is much greater. All the racing plugs are long thread, there are not really any short thread racing plugs. If you have long thread I'd go with the B9EGV racing plug.

Gotta get a leak down done and then pull old motor out and in with the new!

What do you think the threads are on the head? I see a tach that comes with a m10x1.5 that measures water temp. I see a andy tech gauge that has tach and temp for about $50. Better than having one for each. Just wondering is water temp ok to keep an eye on temp or do i need one for under the plug? There is female thread on the head to screw a sensor into, just wondering what size it is.. it probably is the m10x1.5 just want someone to confirm?

Watertemp to measure overall temp and plug temp for measuring critical situations like WOT runs. An EGT sensor would even be better, but more difficult to hook on.

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CXMMMH6/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3PU2CROAL7Y9Cthis is what i am thinking about. Just dont want to run the head too hot. Guess i could add 20d to the water temp and figure head temp. The sensor threads into the head and measures waterjacket temp which i assume would only be 20d off or so of the head temp. i understand what you are saying about critical temp. By the time water temp catches up the cylinder could have already roasted. I assume correct jetting procedures would remedy this, that and high speed cruising.

Correct jetting would eliminate the need for plug or exhaust gas temps. But thats unrealistic. Jetting is never spot on since the ambient enviroment changes so often.
Id just go with both. Only to have an extra gizmo to keep an eye on. I always find it very satisfying to be fully able to see whats going on inside the engine.

Dont recall the name bit supposedly never have to change jetting even with elevation change. Say gasgas had something to do with designing them for trials bike. Very strange..but like $400 !

Got the engine on. The cross bar was in the way and the nipple coming out the front was running into it. I got it done though.
