So what was it that was stopping it from running? I cant talk about it,its always the easy things. Gas, it didnt have enough gas since i was parked on a hill trying to start it. You just assume if there is gas in the tank and plug is wet your good. I dumped a cap fuel of premix down the carb then i was like doough!

Took my bike out for a short run today. Man that thing will shit and get. Put in a 100mj 5g and 3.5 rollers and a heavy ass spring. The mhr performs perfect unlike on the 90cc. I assume weights and rpm, dunno. Will get it dialed in this weekend, vids coming up! It was pulling wheelies at 30 with me and my son on it. Needs new heavier clutch springs as well, its like dead as it takes off and then it turns on! More to come..

Ok, i have went up jet sizes and down. I have moved needle position as well. Best results this far 80 main(went up to 92 but 80 performed better)went back with 80 that seems small. Havent done a chop yet as i can get past 1/2 throttle. It doesnt bog but sputters like spark is cutting out. I cant tell my rpms as the first tac i bought is crap and waiting on another to show up. If i had to guess around 7-8k this happens. If you wrap it slowly you can get a decent pull without much "missing" but it still wont run wot. Arg where is my tac??? I might need something larger than a 92 main as it didnt bog with 92 main just cut out like it was missing. Advice? Get a tac? Hahah One other thing is there is a surface rust on the flywheel, maybe need to clean that off..timing is set at stock location at the moment.

What air filter U using? I'm having the EXACT same symptoms on the Vespa right now. Going leaner seems to make it better...

If you suspect a weak spark, you can try tightening the gap on the spark plug to see if anything changes.

Barley an air filter at all. Actually using the prefilter that comes on a uni with the end ziptied off. Best i can do at the moment, room is very limited. I have a few stock airboxes i can modify possibly. This thing rips man at only 1/2 cant wait to figure it out. Should have bought a tto tach but went with andy tach because it had temp gauge also. Waiting on replacement.... if its cutting out at high rpm i suspect iggy issues usually bog if too rich. I will report back...

If you suspect a weak spark, you can try tightening the gap on the spark plug to see if anything changes. You suspect compression is snuffing spark?

If you suspect a weak spark, you can try tightening the gap on the spark plug to see if anything changes. You suspect compression is snuffing spark? Not especially, but closing the plug gap by 0.010" and riding it may tell you quickly if the ignition system is an issue.

With that cylinder and pipe, I'd set it up to run between 11,800-12,200 rmp at WOT. Don't be afraid to let thing rev, that combo really comes alive around 12k.

Thanks for the advice, i thnk the most difficult part is trying to figure out this andy tach and temp gauge. First one i received was broken, got the new one and have to program it. Would be a bit easier if the instructions were written by someone fluent in english! Its in celcius mode, how hot is too hot? I figure about 85 celcius i should shut it down? I havent got to watch rpm but i did look down once and it was in the 11k. I need to get it mounted on the bars so i can see, first wanted to make sure temp was ok.

A watercooled 2t engine should run and keep at 60 degrees celcius with a 10 degrees margin.
And yeah, a weak spark makes an engine (to more or less degree) sputter and bog and become totally unresponsive to jet and needle changes. So be careful when leaning out the mixture! It might feel as rich but might run dangerously lean!

I do live in texas and ambient temp has been in low 90s. Today i went about 3 miles running errands and saw up to 80d. I guess i should start with a larger main. Need to jet anyway. Would a larger jet really make that much of a difference? I assume to small of a main would really heat it up. I havent heard any preignition but definitely need to plug chop. I have just been cruising it around getting on it a bit. Seems it doesnt run good until the water temp is in the 70s. I am running a stock stationary plate with the mhr cvt and works well. I need to get the mhr plate with the smaller hole, i used to run thea furiosa on my 90 and it never ran right. Runs so much better on high rpm motor
