I'm jealous lol great job. You guys get so much done i envy I'm sure you know, but are you not worried about seizing the engine with the 70main? Or was it to just try and get it goin?

Just to get it going. I also have 32:1 premix - about a quarts worth in the gas tank now. Jet kit shows up thursday so i'll be swapping up, 80 or 85. And my new airbox too. So this emissions pipe is funny, makes it sound like a straight rap snowmobile/dirt bike with smoke coming out by the cooling shroud. I plugged it by hand for awhile to see the difference, it gets super quiet lol but i definitely need to plug this or just go for broke on the silent pro. Or get a stocker from benji

A few more videos just to show my headaches and the very first start!
Very first turn overs
Another few attempts, almost taking
This video shows the first few hiccups of life
After hand-choking it, i finally got it to start up and idle

Ahh must feel good to get it started. Mini adrenaline shot ! I would be tempted to throw the seat on and ride it as is. Did your order your cvt parts for tuning aswell? Our setups will be different anyhow since I'm a 120lb rider and tuning to pull hills a bit better. Rollers, I'm just gonna mod the stock till I find what weight works best, then buy.

I got valve stems in a fedex box halfway to me. The old stock rubber one broke off lol so major flat tire. Cvt stuff? Stock torque and clutch springs, ordered a set of new 5g rollers, same as stock. I'm 190lbs, so it should be okay for now. I will eventually get more tuning stuff, but i just want it road worthy right now.

Itll be cool to see some vids of our scoots , yours with the addition of a pipe. Of course I'll be trying the stock cvt setup aswell to see how much/if any improvements.

Of course I'll be trying the stock cvt setup aswell to see how much/if any improvements. i wish i could have had a go with it in a totally stock setup just to see how much this bbk has improved it. Its funny though, i look back at all the mental turmoil this project has caused me just to get it up and running, but if i were to rewind back to july 25th when i bought it, i don't think i would have done it any different. I've learned SOOOO much from the day i got it. The best part is, i disassembled the whole engine knowing it didn't run in the first place and i was only 80 bucks vested. I didn't have a deadline, and my goal was just to learn what i could, then see if i could give it life. I surpassed all that, i even learned patience and diligence. I even learned humility with that copper spray incident. But today was an adrenaline rollercoaster. Would all my turmoil and detail pay off? Or would it (and myself) fall flat on its face? 2 hours i spent trying to start it, going over everything. What did i miss? I hear it almost has life, but what's going wrong? Is the carb that far out that i just can't get it to take? Or is it something electrical? It was agonizing. But it finally caught, it ran a bit, then a bit more, finally it stayed running. I hit the killswitch, then fired it right back up again. I must've done that about 4-5 times just to be sure, then let it idle for 15 mins. It was so surreal to hear it run, to look at it knowing i could do all that. And to think, the day i loaded it up to bring it home, i had no idea it was even a 2 stroke, and those were like unicorns to me lol

I want to take a moment here to truly thank every one of you who has posted information, your troubles and fixes, your advice for me, and those of you who have even spared parts for me. niz76, thank you for the stator, even if it didn't fit, i learned there was a lot more to them than meets the eye. ryan_ott, thank you for all the bits you sent me too, it's not a passive air cooled engine cuz of you. And i had to find a bunch of bolts on PFS just to assemble it. To 180°off, i appreciate the bits you sent me, i had a lot of miscellaneous fit stuff that box of parts helped me with. fugaziiv - you and PFS went way above what i considered was customer service. I was still determined to make the first kit work, i just never realized it was that far out of spec, and that you guys sent me a whole new cylinder kit just because you guys care that much. I greatly appreciate it! 90GTVert, brent, if you didn't have this site, i wouldn't even consider scooters past my wife's schwinn. I can't even begin to thank you personally for the time, effort, and resources you spend to keep a group this strong alive and so helpful! This knowledge base is truly endless! 190mech, your technical expertise is so extensive! Despite being a master engine builder who can coax out some insane performance, you still take the time to personally help us noobs understand what we're looking at. The information you have taught pinkflames420 and i during our builds is beyond priceless. To anyone i have missed, from the bottom of my heart and with all my enthusiasm, thank you!

My updated view, assembled as well as i can. So much of these plastics are garbage, i'm lucky i can get them to stay put for this picture. If you sneezed at it, i'm positive they'd all jenga down off the frame.

You know what sounds like a sudden loss of compression while starting?
...
A stator going to hell with a quickness...
