What was the issue? Like I said, I have my split cable aswell so I'm not sure if you could throw something together with mine and benjis. My outer shell is cracking so that's the reason for me replacing it. Seems that happens tho near the oil pump and at the carb housing.

You don't have a cable? Or is yours messed up? pinkflames420 - if you look at my first start videos, you'll see i had a dangling cable with a bolt tied to it. That -was- my throttle cable. I did some very creative splicing of my oiler line to make a new upper half of my throttle cable. 190mech shared a link on remaking throttle cables a few posts back (page 7) that gave me a few good ideas. I'd still like to get one of those throttle cables from whichever of you two benji or pink. Good news on my throttle grip assembly (right hand controls) - its all intact. I didnt have a chance to inspect it until early this morning. I was also offered a huuuuuge discount on a jog 5 wire stator from the local cycle shop (paid 20 bucks for it.) Right now i'm putting the last few bits back into place and (barring any more catastrophic failures) i hope to have my first ride tomorrow! Stay tuned!

I knew you had something going on with your cable but wasn't sure exactly what. I'm not sure I'm seeing the picture here lol sorry don't mind me. Maybe you can find out if benji has a split cable aswell. If not, then I would take his first(US shipping cheaper for you too) EDIT : BENJI BEAT ME TOO IT 😜

First ride, i think i need to go a lot fatter than 85 main. Or my fuel line is crap. I can do a pocket video for the sound of it, i don't know a soft seize over a carb bowl not keeping up. Happens over half throttle though. 90GTVert, 190mech, benji any ideas?

Ok, so i might be a little lean, plug reads beige, not quite chocolate, but is wet.
Lets say... someone who isnt me... didn't check the head bolts after a heat cycle... and they were starting to work loose... would that someone be getting rough symptoms at WOT that would shut the machine down?

Doesn't sound good Is the engine still intact and not seized? I can't see the jetTing being the issue since it is recommended to start 10-20% larger jet for a baseline. But you have the pipe aswell... 77 would be 10% larger and 84 would be 20% larger. Gotta get that trail tech temp gauge! As do I.

It feels like it hits an rpm peak, then struggles to stay running right down to clutch release. I can feel it pulsing in and out like its trying to catch and run on the way down to about 3mph, the clutch releases and engine sputters dead. Takes about 5-10 seconds of turnover to restart using the electric starter, even then it catches slow. I can run 1/4 to maybe 1/2 throttle no problem, been running 99% of my day cruising at half throttle. But a wot burst and it dies. 2 blocks is all the farther i can get in a wot burst too. Tried rejetting to 90, 95, learned what too rich is. Went back to 85 jet, then 80, then back to 85. I'm nervous about going too lean and soft seize it. No snorkel in the airbox, b7hs plug, 5 gram rollers. No restrictor in my exhaust. No cvt restrictor on this bike... uhmmm... af mix half turn from seated... anything else?

Loose head torque can cause a big air leak,,Are you running the stock airbox still?Makes tuning waaay easier..

God, maintenance on my chopper bicycle is recommending I retighten headbolts after EVERY 5 HOURS OF OPERATION! This is making me want to do head bolt tightening on the regular for my scoot.

I should note, its a clean fuel filter and i have a manual shutoff installed. Fuel float is set so the plastic seam is level with the carb body. Uhmmm... carbs been cleaned 3 dozen times already... i can't think of anything else

You got cooling shrouds on it? Sounds like it's over heating or losing compression to mem

Yessir it has shrouds. Idk what else to check - maybe besides compression. I have 1.1mm squish, and i am running 32:1 premix as well. Currently on an 85 main... uhhh trying to check everything i know of off my list. It runs too rich on a 90 and my jet kit runs 70-105 in increments of 5... i'll try anything at this point.
