Floyd, It's common for them to fail. And, they can work one minute then not the next. Chances are it's the Bendix. It's ok if it's a bit loose like that.
Also always remember..... For every ONE MINUTE you use your starter....let it COOL for 15 minutes. (Otherwise it can get damaged)

Ok I bought a new bendix coming Tuesday . however the problem looked as if the starter and bendix gear wasn't meeting up . In turn when it finnaly did after shaking and tapping cvt cover. It came out grinding. However I do need a new batt but that will be here tomorrow. I'm growing exhausted if my taotao of six months. It runs great but minor problems every 2 weeks

Use right sized screw inside bushing to get it tight. Some heat and pliers will do the rest.

Ok understood. However being that bushing is messed up could this be the cause of it not working properly?

One removal strategy is using a 3/8 inch tap . . then use a nut-bolt to tap in replacement bushing.

I'm not sure if it is the bushing... a lot of filings around the starter gears are your starter teeth are worn down?

First, in you previous video's when you were trying to show us that the battery was bad, you were trying to start the scooter with the cvt cover off. BIG MISTAKE. I warned you you were going to ruin the starter bendix as well as the starter gear. Now the bushing is destroyed too. YOU CAN NOT RUN THE STARTER WITHOUT THE CVT COVER INSTALLED. Parts will get destroyed. You should replace the starter, bendix and the bushing. If not, you will be back here with the same problem. In the future, don't use the starter when the cover is off. Like in this vid. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZrzqWtcWRQI would suggest having someone with the right tools that knows what they are doing to replace the bushing for you.
