I don't know...it could be several things but, I watched you video again...several times actually, and...I believe the bendix is only supposed to engage with that large gear once it spins up. The act of spinning forces the bendix to extend out and mesh with that gear. What I see yours doing is staying extend out and in contact with that gear even when it is spinning slowly or stops spinning. That is not supposed to be like that...otherwise...when it does start, your starter motor will be turned at high speed by the crankshaft. I have no idea why this might be but, the action of your bendix is not like it is supposed to be. Maybe some of the others here can tell you why that might be. Bill I took bendix out adjusted it n put it back in it started now it won't idle but it started so happy How do you adjust a bendix ?

Well there's a bushing that sits at the tip of the bendix that keeps it from coming apart. However it's not tight enough so I tried to crimp it with pliers but it keeps messing up after a few tries. I just bought this bendix n it don't work properly

A small amount of lube (10w40 should be applied to the center of the bindex spring so that it can smoothly engage. You also should apply a small a fingertip size grease (not 10w40 but real grease) inside the bushing's of the cover and in the cace side bushing's
Never start the engine without the cover on and the bindex centerd in the case bushing - NEVER, due to the fact the on a GY6-50 the center bushing on the cace needs to have the bendex cluch inside the bushing for the aliment.
On one of the vid's he cut out the cace to show the the bindex at work, this is not a place you want to cut into as it weekend's the "hold" that the cace has on the bindex as it will get hot and you will end up needing to repace that bushing.(not a good place for cooling but good for show)
My 2 cent's

What size battery did you buy ? There is a 4 amp and 7 amp option. I just re-viewed your vid. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1trlMg93cUTo me it looks like you are using the 4 amp battery, I know most 4 strokes use the 7 amp option. Maybe that's why your battery not lasting long when you try starting your scooter.

Do you have a pic of the charger you are using ? Seeing that the battery is a Lithium/LifePO, Make sure the charger is rated to charge that type of battery. A standard batter charger will not charge that battery properly. Note, your older battery(my guess 7 amp too) is larger than your new one hence my previous post. Some mind numbing reading if interested. batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries

You should be using this charger that's compatible with your battery. See where I highlighted in RED in the picture. www.batterytender.com/Motorcycle/Battery-Tender-Lithium-Junior.htmlSide note: I would of never used this type of batter unless you were looking for weight savings for racing applications. I regular lead-acid battery is more forgiven than the lithium battery.

Floyd...why are you running 2 different threads on the same subject? That gets very confusing and, I thought you had learned this earlier? Come on man...folks here will help you if they can...you do not need multiple topics to get information.
