Hey! So here it is, a Kymco Super8 from a friend, a seasoned Scooter rider. She won the thing at a raffle a few years ago. A little over 500 miles dialed in. We already mounted an Airsal 70cc, which comes WITHOUT a new head (huge disappointment), but was very cheap. Also mounted another variator, Tecnigas Next-R pipe. Currently we are struggling with the intake and the carburetor. Furthermore, we eliminated the vacuum fuel pump, gravity feed is MORE than enough here, and it gives proper control. Also, PREMIX! So there are a few possibilities: Either hillbilly an intake together on the existing one, work towards one based on the Honda/Minarelli vertical based Big Valve intakes or adapter plate with a Minarelli intake. (the latters are made in house). Currently planning on mounting a PHVA17.5 but I have a Mikuni VM20 and a Arreche 19mm on the way. Everything is in limbo because everyone is super busy and parts are shitty to gather. But I thought I start giving you a little insight.

I have always liked the Super 8/9 2T platform. Its basically Kymco's next generation of 2T scooters when they discontinued the ZX50. Larger frame, wheels, and updated looks. I would like to find an L/C version to tinker/build. My only dislike is the availability of aftermarket parts or lack of. Intakes other than stock are hard to find. Cyl's, CVT, exhust's, and gearing options are few. That is way iv stayed with the ZX50 & Honda Elite/Dio platform, there are many aftermarket parts still available and they are 90% swapable between Kymco & Honda. Here is an Super 9 build showcasing a lot of go fast goodies. Half way down has some intake info.

Alright, working on that intake. Trying out two intakes currently, Nr. 1 is Polini manifold from a Peugeot/Honda on my bracket I am not a fan of the long intake length and the angle but that is slightly adjustable. Also that Mikuni VM20 is VERY tight, so I may have to Dremel on the float bowl. Nr. 2: A Piaggio 125 2T intake from one of my older bikes. that actually fits freaking well! I like the angle and the short intake. Will have to check if I can make it work with the glove box etc.

I will keep that in mind. Aslong as we can hit 50, it is fine. it's for a freind for a 10min commute. Cut the threads today and am currently tunring deaf working with the dremel. Stuff looks still rough, so I am not posting anything yet.
