yeah aftermarket selection is very limited compared to a minarelli.
I think with proper tuning and a final gear change mine will do 60, it gets up to like 53 54 and can still feel it has alot more just no gearing to go.

I don't expect mine to go as well as yours(yet), it has a no name 70cc kit, castings were pretty ruff. I cleaned them up some, but who knows what the port timing is. I was more concerned getting it running to see if I wanted to keep it or sell it next spring. I want to ride it some to see if it fits me.

If you ever want to buy the up gear off of me I'll sell you it, I never put it in and don't really plan on it seeing as I don't ride it anymore.

I'm getting a solid 45 mph out of my Crusty Bee. That's spinning the engine up close to 12k. I'm torn on regearing since I rather like the acceleration I have now.

Iv taken mine around the neighborhood a few times, the speed limit is 20. Everyone knows everyone so I didn't push speeds beyond 30 or so. Its a fresh build with a unknown kit, so I'm taking it easy till I am comfortable its broken in. I have a feeling its geared low, it didn't take much to kick the rear out in the leaves or wet ground. The brake stand I did in the "burnout thread" took little effort as well. I wish we were going into spring and not winter. Sorta reminds me of this commercial. (dont ask how I remembered this, wait..... Nevermind, I forgot the answer)

I wanna say the R50x came in two final gear ratios, or two gearings for TGB scooters, or something like that. check the parts manual I believe it has each set listed as like Part number 10283710A vs part number-B etc. (the A set is one option and the B set is another).
I know the key west is geared lower.

I do remember there are different parts list for the different regions of R50x and its also possible I just thought there was two gearings. I do remember different years had different gearings or something like that.
