Nice scooter you have got there. Looks like a very comfy place to be.
Its funny over here we don't really do auto transmission, unless you buy something like a Jaguar, or Mercedes. I guess its what your used to, but I live in a city and don't find it a problem. I have not owned that many cars, and only one automatic, as it was cheap. Did find it relaxing to drive though once I had got out of the habit of stamping on the brake when I wanted to down shift

We banned Goldwings from our shop in 92.After days of trying to synchronize the carbs the guy working on it had it die on a test ride and it took 5 of us together to get I t out of the ditch he dropped it in and bent the handlebars trying to pick it.Personally I have never ridden one and don't plan on it.

Well, do you remember all of those cautions about being careful at intersections at a light because cars leak oil and your foot might come down on some oil when on a motorcycle while stopped at a light? Sure, whatever. I had been riding bikes for years and never had that happen to me. Total B.S. or so I thought...I was on that Goldwing, and I stopped at a light and...my right foot hit some oil and the bike and myself went over to the right. I caught it before it went totally over but...I could not pull it back up straight. I was standing there like one of those Russian Olympic weightlifters grunting and pulling for all I was worth and, I could feel the handlebar begin to bend...it was already flexing and then, with one final pull I was back upright but...man....I was sore for a week!. That had never happened to me before or since but, of course, it had to happen with the heaviest bike I ever owned! So, I guess those folks that write the motorcycle saftey manuals were right after all. (I remember reading that years and years ago) I have to add that I was only about 33 at the time and I was pretty strong. If that happened today...I would not even try to right the bike. Of course, I would not ride any bike that I could not pick up like that so, it will not happen again. My scoot is not a problem to right in that situation...nor is any bike in the 50-750 cc range. I've owned a BMW K75 and a Honda VFR 800 as well as a Honda CX 500. They were big and somewhat powerful but heavy and awkward around town. The VFR rarely got out of 2nd gear in town. The 250 Vespa is much more comfortable and easy to maneuver. There is also the whole automatic thing that makes my hand happy as I go red light to red light. Yesterday I drove down from DC and of course sat in several back ups, one 26 miles and 90 minutes long, and there were several bikes paying the price putting along.

To sleep, per chance to dream... oil changed, tank full of fresh sea foamed fuel and idled for 10 minutes, battery pulled, see you in the spring

The bad part is, my "shop" is really my studio, but we didn't do the show tour last year and once my friend gave me Rat Bob, it just kind of all went downhill from there.
I do need to clean though, I have shoots coming up, pretty sure this could be an issue ")

Art shows, art in the park, fall fests etc, I sell prints, do portrait work and I'll be tossing in catalog work this year, I also sell Native American artwork for friends out on Pine Ridge.

Sounds like fun, the building my theater is attached to has a school for visual art and they have a gallery space with rotating work. I've never been big on visual art, more into performing art. I appreciate the work that goes into visual art though.

The fun part is the photography and editing, the business aspect sucks hairy cheese balls, I hate book keeping, I suck at marketing. I just want to make people go oooh...

Nice picture, I like the clouds, are they original or photo shopped. The tenant at one of the theaters I manage is the local community theater. They love their big musicals, they haven't don Phantom yet but I'm sure they will. There was a Baltimore photographer that would add clouds to his photos, of course old school in the darkroom.

Nope, HDR from 3 exposures, shot with a 2X graduated ND, I noticed the day before how the clouds were comming off the mountains and went back the next day for the light I wanted.
