Scooter Rally. I put approximately 100 KM on the thing and saw about 100KPH (there is more in there, its a new animal with the pipes).. The new pipes are sick.. It's kinda a dog down low, but up top it pulls like a freight train. I ended up welding on an air chamber to the rad, before it would boil over constantly, and if I left an air void it would draw air into the pump, I switched to a beta trials bike rad cap and added this air void for expansion and it worked a treat. Highest temps were in the 90's but mostly cruising and under load were high 80s. I still need to box in the rad a bit more and I think I would see temps drop even further. I did break down on the leg back from our destination, I think I burned up my CDI box/boxes. All I could smell was burnt electronics when I popped the seat. I had weird battery issues too. I need to underdrive my waterpump to keep the battery from draining. So I had a support truck ride. If anyone has any reccomendation for mega tiny lithium Ion batterys in the 12-13v range that have like 1-5AH rating im all ears, my space is limited. But no explosions of catastrophic failure, the motor is super strong. I think I need to up my launch RPM to get it more into the pipe. I also have not put the CMR kits on yet. Oddly enough the girlfriends ride, my Dio also just randomly turned off during the ride, I think it soft seized but I need to inspect further, this is after it clogged the pilot jet earlier in the day so i am wondering if the tank is full of shit and needs a good cleaning. We both rode home in the support truck, haha. I have some video, but its mostly me pulled over trying to fix the Dio and getting lost from the group, haha, A few good pulls but it's mostly lost in boring. Then as we got into the higher speed area my camera died. deng. It was a hit tho, there were a lot of very blown away people "you did what to the how?"

HELLO.
Scoot still works, runs good. But I've been so busy with other stuff I have kinda pushed it to the side.
I have acquired a AF34 engine. It is happening again. Another Twin. This one will be a separate build, perhaps even in a Dio.
I neeeeeeed 2 AF34 Cranks. Used is fine. Can be not in the best shape. Needed for mockup. Doing the crank differently on this one and need to see if it's even possible to do. I know there must be a few scrappers out there with some floating around. I want to use Athena or MHR in the end but cutting up 600 dollars worth of cranks and not knowing if they will work is scaaary.

This will be useful. I couldn't find a CHEAP lithium ion battery for the scooter, so I made one. I found an old battery pack from a cordless drill with one bad cell. Free.99 You can't use this directly without a protection board but you can order those directly from aliexpress for nothing s.click.aliexpress.com/e/eMMlWq1iYou can cut the bands that hold the cells apart with snips. Remove any rings and loose jewelry! Dont do this on a metal table! I cut three cells and left the connecting bands together and wired it up as per that drawing. I now have a small very powerful lithium ion battery. Probably not enough for a starter but I am kick only. While tuning my MotoEFI programmable ignition I acquired light small end rod knock. Too many revs. Going to get some Stage6 10mm small end bearings and see if they will hold up.

So I was just about to throw these on, CMR Iron kits. When these popped up cheap. like 100 a kit cheap. Stage6 Modular Racing single ring kits. I couldn't say no. Paperwork says with the correct supporting mods these are 15-17HP capable cylinder kits... x2. Yeeeeeeeeee

Im getting closer, I've put the old girl on a diet, she's a bit portly since the twins so I decided to strip down some stuff. Oh baaaby aluminum cylinders, 2 of these weight as much as just the cylinder of the other kit. Made a lot of chips, turning a 6" dia piece of aluminum and turning off over 1" of material off the length. Taaa Daaa. I got rid of the big wheel. The smaller wheel is waaay lighter. Back to the old school thinner wheel with big tire and matching Kitaco wheels. Now I can tuck the pipes in closer as well.

This makes me really miss my banshee. I need to get in on this twin cylinder game sooner then later.

I love this build. I think you may be quicker with the smaller wheel but time will tell.

This makes me really miss my banshee. I need to get in on this twin cylinder game sooner then later. Its the entrance fee that hurts. If I didn't build it and bought it, even if I did it on the cheap it would be like a 8-9kCAD build. Malossi Cases, MXS Kit, 2 cylinder sets, 2 pipes, 2 carbs, etc... it quickly spirals out of control.

I think this is the 4th time I have cut these poor pipes apart. Hopefully the last time. I am much happier with the small rear wheel fitment and how much more tucked I can get the muffler. Second one will stick out slightly further but still be packed in tighter. Should be good.

Well time to make a few brackets, hang these things and give em a wash and a clearcoat. They just keep getting uglier. Too bad i'm recovering from a broken knee, I wanna ride this thing. I still have to make a Delrin waterblock for the coolant in to the cylinders.
