So I decided to start breaking down my "1pe50qmf" engine today to get it ready to go in the spring,I noticed on the crank rod it says sundiro,so I'm guessing it came out an sundiro 90cc atv but basically the same engine that's in the Polaris 90

Took a little more time today to get cases apart cause I broke shock mount on original case so I got another left case on ebay,so today I got to stator plate bolts and low and behold the damn Chinese piece of shit Philips head bolts I hate those damn things and they always give me a hard way to go,had to dremmel the heads off and be sure not to mess up the good half (stator side)😱,got past that after much profanity and tool slamming,im new to minarelli so im gonna have questions,I took pictures of my progress and next step is to clean cases and paint them and think on what kit I wanna get for it and pipe,here is more progress pictures from today,and damn what a diffrent in crank lobe sizes from a 70cc crank to a 90cc,I'll be doing alot of reading of Brent's and birds builds,also need to know what size crank to get cause I know there is a small taper and big taper crank,this cranks rod was an 80mm I thing

An impact drive does make so much difference on the phillips stuff like there and holding the starter gears on these. A larger phillips and a tap with a mallet before you ever try it is a good idea, lacking an impact driver.
Looks like 16mm on the splines for the CVT side. That should be the large version. For the flywheel, that also looks like the large version. The one I checked is roughly 17mm on the opposite end of the taper. Most of the time if one is large, it all is. Good call to check though. I got a Dinli crank once that was 45mm stroke stock and had a large variator spline and small flywheel taper. Real oddball.

I have a #2 and #3 screwdrivers with solid through shanks just for that purpose, taught to me by my dad.

The one I own is well over 30 years old. PS, I was hoping this was going to be a TGB stroker build.

Only way you could do a morini stroker is to find a mina crank that is close and then have to find a way to make it work,too much of a headache believe me I was contemplating doing it but wasn't a 100% confident in my ability too complete something that ambitious!!Oh I got an impact with a wide Philips and it just wouldn't break them loose I stripped every single screw!!

All good.. Will enjoy following your build either way.

Did the same thing on my 70cc minarelli. Almost every Phillips head stripped. I bought a pack of easy out screw extractors from Walmart for under $10. If I'm not mistaken Black and decker. Worked really well.

You'll want to JB that chipped sealing surface for sure!I like to JB the part,then put a piece of greased glass window pane over it with some weight(brick),comes out nice and smooth once dry...Here is a twisted one off build that I used this idea on;
