Thanks, that is what I thinking the answer would be. I actually spent some time searching for the answer myself and 7 vs 8 never came up anywhere I looked. There was LOADS of information at SKF's pages, but no answer to my question that I could find. The PDS is likely the hardest working bearing in a scoot. It might be wise to pay attention when selecting a bearing for it. It figures because I have 5 brand new bearings with 7 balls and only the 1 with 8. The difference from 7 to 8 is probably minimal if any. I just make sure I use name brand.

Today I made the exhaust port changes and got the ex duration up to 193 with transfers now looking to be closer to 133 than 134. I tried to slightly flatten the ex port roof a bit, but I don't know if it came out right. I worked on this port extensively before so i have no idea how this port originally looked. Before today After today I wonder how the C16 pipe will work with this setup? Only one way to find out.

I have been trying to get the gearbox squared away but it is giving me some trouble. Everything is loose until I tighten the gearbox bolts up. The intermediate gear is binding up. If I remove the little washer that goes between it and the large case half everything is perfect. I do not currently have a gasket between the gearbox case halfs, I think if I just use a gasket or 2 it will space it out just right....... 10.1:1 gears by the way.
Where to find some longcase gearbox gaskets quickly?

Also there are some passages that are covered and I dont know which ones are and which ones are not. I will trace one so I can do that next time.... Come to think of it, I should have a pattern somewhere, or even a gasket in the shed now that I think of it. Scooter attack has them for .99, I will take 5 please.

Do you think the Tecnigas RS II that you checked for us would be a better match than the C16? I could use the RS II instead.

I found the gearbox gasket template I had in the shed along with a fresh gasket. I slapped the gasket on and sure enough, everything freed up and is smooth. All bearings in the gearbox are new with the exception of the secondary shafts main sealed bearing. I also have a new primary shaft in there, so the gearbox should not be a source of trouble unless I forget to put the gear oil in.

The RSII should be on the 'try list' also!

I goth the crank installed. It went in really well. And surprisingly the crank seals went right into place with no problems for a change. I wish the cylinder and piston were ready to go but they are not. The cylinder needs a quick hone and then a thorough cleaning, and the new piston is untouched.

I am at a loss here, can you simply transform a Minarelli 50cc case into a 103cc?
