I knew they would be noisy, I guess my exhaust is too quiet. I had gears on my Keeway but that exhaust was much louder so I guess I never noticed them.

I had straight cut gears on once for a short while, They were noisy but that didnt really bother me that much. The fact that they hindered my ability to do wheelies is what bothered me. I could imagine how that noise could be nerve wrecking though. It sounds great tho, cant wait until you start riding it and show some vids.

Time to put your self made pipe back on. That one may be too much pipe for this motor. I could always try it at a later date. Plus I'd have to redo the mount to use with the torsen arm.

They do use moly paste for building up engines, especially on cam and lifters as they are very highly loaded and need all the lube they can get during the initial start up..Moly Paste would work well also in a scoot tranny..

Thanks John. I'll give them a few miles to break in, or just try heavier weight oil. If not I'll try some moly. Edit: I mean the moly lube

Actually I think you can hear the gear noise better in this one. When ever I slow down I hear it in the vid. I'm over it though.

That's such a cool angle to mount cameras.

I made the same route before I made some tuning adjustments and I scraped the camera on the ground on the low corner towards the end.

Clear coat it when you get it and it will look much better. You'll see what I mean.

Setup the air box on the Zuma. Currently at 42/98 W7 with snorkel out and a few 1/2" holes in the box. It's running well and I'm happy so far.

It's been years, but I believe that I took a scotch brite pad to it. Not that it sees a lot of use but it's held up very well. And of course I used a fuel and oil resistant paint, but you probably already know that.
