I burnt up some premix and took the gopro along. Nothing special but if you’ve got some time to kill. This is the maiden voyage for the C16 I picked up. It’s exactly the same as before nothing was changed. I’m running around 9,800 with the max recall on the trailtech at 10,400. Maxing out at low 60’s @ 310 wfo, part throttle is around 260-280. I’m actually hesitant to pull this motor off... youtu.be/Kgx2HJ0fYKgyoutu.be/zE6PIdNW8jMyoutu.be/LSZ5jm9eUgo

I finally got around to mounting the cylinder and getting proper timing numbers. Using a .12mm base I’m right at 190/130, squish using the Polini head is .68-.72mm the supplied Athena head was close to 1mm. I could only get that to work if I ran without a head gasket that id rather not do. That would of been 78-.82mm The Polini head is a o-ring head. Anyone want to cut an o ring groove in the Athena head for me? I forgot to order a reed block for it so I plan on getting a MVT large petal block then I can leak test it and wait for a rainy day to mount it up. For comparison he Athena head is 9.2cc and the Polini is 8.9cc. This piston extends into the combustion chamber so I’ll have to measure that.

Worked on some CVT maintenance today. All the wear parts look great. Cleaned and regreased the rear pulley because it was getting sticky. I used Toyota lithium soap grease. I’ll keep this updated as to how it holds up. I came across this stuff in a search for LS grease. I found a few posts that say this holds up to high heat in other applications so I figured I’d give it a try. So far so good.
I also swapped around some TD springs and ended up lightening the rollers. What a world of difference. I guess this pipe wanted some more rpm. I haven’t tested full speed but around the ‘hood it feels much better.
For my future reference:
2615 miles 10,200 4.7gr Polini 28kg spring

The Polini motor, I’m waiting on a reed spacer then I’ll pressure check and throw the Athena in there.
