I’ll probably use the C16 it looks to be a good fit rpm wise. It gets up on the rpm’s quick. I’ve got a few others to choose from so I’ll likely try the ForRace4 and C21. Which ever works the best I’ll keep on there. The port timings indicate the cylinder should be happy around 10-10,500, as are these pipes. They just respond differently. Soon I’ll see...

Not too bad... it gained a bunch in mid range throttle response which is more useful to me. upload photo to websiteI got the reed spacer for the spare motor in so I’ll get that bolted up tonight, leak tested and swap it when I get a chance.

Also dual ring - cast bore on a fat ass Zuma. Maybe with a hill I can get 1 mph per cc. Does that count?

I think the spare motor passed the leak test. I filled it up when I was leaving this morning and it’s still holding pressure 12 hours later. I’ll probably fire it up before I pull the other motor out.

I dont have much time to post but the 80 is in minus a rear brake. Full throttle unloads the suspension and makes the front wheel light. First trip out I had a rag on my floorboard that found its way to clog the air filter causing a over rich condition. It needs work but seems to have decent potential. More tomorrow... youtu.be/aa3uU4en8E8youtu.be/OJ7EklreNzc

A little more about this... No tuning was done I just swapped my existing setup over to the new motor. Same CVT, same carb and jetting, same pipe. I only took it down the road and back so no speed runs yet plus I want to make sure it won’t seize on me before I go further. It’s turning 10,300-10,500 right now and temp only got to 250-260. I’ll have to recheck my hardware because it has a vibration I’d like to get rid of.I’ll have to cut the case so I can mount up my caliper and that will be done. The old engine besides being greasy looked pretty good for its tough life. It’s never been apart since I put it together, cylinder looked good with just normal wear, just a little scuff on the piston by the exhaust port probably from incorrect jetting early on. All the bearings are holding up but I’ll put in a new needle bearing before I put it away. More this weekend when I get some time to fine tune. Garage door scoot lift. The old Polini

Power wise, is it pretty much the same as the Polini you were running? Or what would you compare it too? Race, mid race or sport? Sorry for all the questions, I’ve just always wondered about this kit. Ohh and are you going to try your C16 on it?

I’ve got the C16 on it now and It seems a little more eager to rev then the Polini. I think it has more power but I’ll need some more seat time to get it dialed in. I’ll get some time with it this weekend and see what it really does.

I had some time after work so I looked into the vibration first. Insert sludge here: 3 miles on that oil. The main axle bearing spun in its pocket so I’ll have to use retaining compound or shim stock. I just switched covers to continue with play time. It’s got plenty of giddy up compared to the Polini. I’m still running everything from the other motor because it felt near perfect. Even on this bore the jetting looks good to me. Temps are maxing at 250, 230 part throttle. I’ve never had an aluminum ac bore so I’d assume temps are good. So would I recommend this setup, I sure would. It’s comparable to the Airsal 77 I had run. It’s a keeper.

Dude those temps are great. I wonder what it would do with a C21.
But this sounds perfect. Scootertuning used to have it, is it in stock for a reasonable price anywhere?
