I’m thinking of changing things up this is what happens when all other projects are done. I’ve been running a Polini cast of some sort I don’t even remember which one is on here I’ve got so many around. Choices: Airsal extreme 77cc -LC so I was thinking of a ruckus rad setup... I’ll have to pull the crank on the original motor to open up to 55mm. Once it’s opened up I’ll loose primary compression if I go back to a 47mm bore. Athena Evolution - same as the MKII, collecting dust on the shelf. Athena 80cc (77cc) - 43mm stroke - pulled this motor when I had an odd noise, still have the noise it’s in the exhaust. Actually I have a brand new spare cylinder so I have 2 of these. Besides the cylinder I don’t plan on changing anything still plan on running the 21mm PHBG and the C16 or my C21/30 if I go with the Airsal. Im thinking of running the Airsal 77, it’s just more work. What would you guys like to see? Airsal. Cause its red, and just look at the EX port.

Of course guys! I’ve already started ordering some stuff... coolant probe for my trail tech gauge, hose, 3bond. I’m going to go with a mechanical water pump and they all seem to be out of stock until later this month so that will be the only delay. All the other stuff I should have. I’ll try one radiator and see how that works out, if I need to I’ll get another but I’ll start with the one I have. I just need to build a case separator so I can save the crank without twisting it. Usually I’m pulling a stocker out and don’t care what happens to it. I think I just need some pipe, flat bar and 8x1.25 rod and I can get something made. Unless we have a loan-a-tool program... more to come.
Maybe a last shake down of this motor this weekend. These Polini cast cylinders really have treated me very well.

This is kind of a pain to do with rear disc...

Im reaaaally curious about the airsal xtrem!! I believe airsal is a real underdog with a bad name sticking to them from somewhere from the past.
Those xtrem cylinders all look very good, big ports, aux exhaust ports routed around the studs, real elaborate casting. Also the aircooled T6-R with the centered cnc head with its seperate headbolts.

I should of got a real splitter long ago. Split cases and save the crank in about 3 minutes. I got the cases clearances to accept the 50mm bore and there is still plenty of meat left for sealing. Adjusted the transfers and case work. Waiting on jb weld to cure at the moment. I’ve got about 2,000 miles on this MHR crank and it looks like new. There is no play, well under factory specs. Either a good product or Amsoil is good oil, either way I feel about good reusing it. I never noticed it before but this scoot had 1500 mi when I got it and this is not the original engine. At least I don’t think so because there are no serial numbers on the case like I see on others on eBay. Not that I care just strange. Water pump and a new clutch ordered, hoses, radiator and temp sensor are here. If I get time I’ll get the panels apart and see about mounting the radiator this weekend.

Didn't see the post about the MHR 77. Running that now on Spaz's engine. Go with the big bore 77 for sure. You already know that cylinder rips. 👍

Yeah I seen a video some where where they hand chamfer all the ports on the airsals before they are boxed up and sent out,now that's quality control!!!😉

JB weld needed some help to cure. I guess the garage was too cold so I put it on top of a radiator heater for a few hours and it’s ready. I’ll take the cases to work for the parts washer then I’ll get it back together. Water pump should be here Tuesday or Wednesday so I hope to have it ready by then. I’ll have to get a port map of this cylinder and compare it to the MHR77, you know for scientific reasons.

Crank, bearings and seals are back in. Polini 3G clutch, bell, water pump and gears showed up. I’ll get a port map before I get this buttoned up. My Dr.Pulley HiT has a bunch of miles on it and wore grooves where the springs sit. Launch was getting low, swapped to new springs and it didn’t change the engagement. I’ll give this one a try. It’s externally adjustable.

What gears are those? Ratio? Primary? They are primary 14/42, which I already have but I also have 2 sets of stock gears 05 and 08. I want to have two sets ready to go one at 10:1 the other 11:1.
