Just seeing this now, congrats buddy! I wish I never would of sold my 95cc Zuma. I’ve still got enough parts boxed away to build a decent motor, and trans.

Thanks man! I’m just getting around to swapping motors and I sure did have to clearance the seat bucket for the rear facing carb. Oh well it’s not a grocery getter anymore but still space for tools and a spare belt I just need to make a new bottom. I’ll pull the harness out and make a new one for the battery only setup and just clean everything up. I pulled to cylinder to check out the Evo and looks like the ring held up better this time around but I’m still going to freshen it up since it’s out, plus pistons are cheap for this one. Ring gap was at .009”, new was .006”, standard piston was down .003”. Plating is holding up well with no major scuffing and judging by the piston looks like squish was nice and snug.

So how many miles approximately on that piston?

That piston crown's flow pattern looks great.

Everything looks horrible.

So how many miles approximately on that piston? If you look back the original ring I got 100-150 before it was at the wear limit, this time I think I’m around 6-700. Still not great but could be worse. Obviously single rings wear faster and I’m sure I could of still ran it but I like to keep things in check.

Everything looks horrible. You think that’s a mess, you should see what I’ve got going on tonight 🤦♂️ It’s a mess over here. Two scoots apart and trying to get both together.

I was getting frustrated going back and forth between the Zuma and the Metro as parts were coming in but never really making progress so just concentrating on this guy until completion. With any luck by the weekend should be the first ride. I failed at taking pictures along the build just been focused on getting the work done. As it sits today 94cc is in and I’ve run it little bit, new radiators are mounted, fabbed up frame brace and wiring harness is thinned out. The front forks are freshened up with new seals, 20wt oil and little higher level to firm up when she comes back to earth. Waiting on new rear shock since all the oil is outside and not inside where it should be. Really just need to paint and refit the panels and finish up the wiring. I have some replacement panels on order but might not see them until June.

I’ve got everything together enough for a few little test rips. All I can say is someone is going to die!! This thing is no joke and nothing is in tune on it yet so I can only imagine when it’s all set. The neighborhood surely won’t be happy with me tuning in here. As it sits now 3.8gr, Red TD, red clutch springs 2nd line before max, 34mm PWK 55/180 JLJ needle. I’m using the limiter feature of the CDI set at 13,800 but I think I’m going to set it to no limit and work on the CVT to hold the rpm. When at the limiter it sounds like a miss or well hitting a limiter. I know not many are running this engine but if any of you are out there and have some preliminary starting points for the CVT my neighbors would thank you..
Oh yeah and malossi QC hits again... pin hole leak in the pipe. Got to love that Italian quality.

You could message Jack (HP Logic) who’s lurking around here somewhere. He built the RC One engine for his Aerox several months ago.

Sounds like fun.
I thought about seeing if a Yasuni silencer could be made to fit a Malossi exhaust. Your C16 sounds so much more mellow than the MHR exhaust, and the silencer is longer. I never bothered, because I don't really see measurements for Yasuni silencers around... but you've at least got a C16 there.

Sure Ken that’ll work!

I don’t know what Malossi does or doesn’t do but their silencers are loud. All the houses here are brick and it’s just echoing off of them. I do have a no name silencer I can try to see if it’ll work also.
