Quick little rip through town they weren’t too happy I was interrupting everyone’s nice Saturday lunch. The video was longer but took out the bits of staring at my speedo and my lovely comments. Note to self point camera up..

I’m going to soften up the clutch some so I can creep out and turn from a stop easier since it’s difficult to turn when the wheel isn’t on the ground. It has plenty of power that it can over come a soft clutch I’m sure. Oh there’s plenty more throttle left in it. It’s worth every penny for all the smiles. |

From what I've seen from others, I think you'll get quicker by tuning it to be slower. Looks like lots of people never really get to use the RC-One from a launch because it's more like riding a bucking bronco. The Piaggio looks to have more range in the CVT. Normally I will sacrifice speed for the belt to be low in the vari and high in the rear pulley at takeoff, but perhaps if spacing were needed for that with the RC-One as it often is with Minarelli OR kits, you could let it ride a bit higher up front to calm it down... with the added bonus of reducing higher speed RPM.

ryan_ott How do you feel about that carb on top of that engine? Good match? 90GTVert I know you have to be just a little bit jealous of the RC-One...you thinking of jumping on one?

I don’t have much seat time and don’t have anything to compare to but the 34mm seems like a good match. Realistically it’ll be full throttle or below 1/4 to chug along. Given the potential power output I think the 28mm that is suggested is a bit on the small side. I’m going to get the egt probe installed and work on the carb tune some. Currently it’s a 55/180 which doesn’t feel too far off.

Awe the good ol days. Yeah those first couple rides on a freshly built RC-One are ridiculous. You wanna send it from a stop so bad but just can’t ... hahahaha. Even if you put all your weight on the bars it’ll still lift you up. If you can get it down you can probably ride a one foot wheelie off the ground lol! Like you said my problem was turning and burning. As soon as you turn and gas it the wheel comes off the ground and then your doing some type of crooked wheelie. Feels sick when you finally set it down. But.... even if you try to feather it from a stop it’ll surprise you once and while. 👍

I’ve got it all buttoned up besides painting the panels if that happens, still have some tuning to do also. EGT prope got installed and went for little ride through town. Coolant temp stays around 106, CHT was 190 and EGT maxed at 1080. Part throttle heats up quick but didn’t hold long enough to see where it’ll peak obvious reasons. I’ll probably bump the main up few sizes and either different needle to richen just over 1/8 or try raising it a notch. Pilot seems fine and can’t really go much bigger it’s already loading up on fuel. Just a stock appearing scoot:   |

That does sound loud.
Not really the thing to use for going to the local shops. It really wants somewhere to stretch it's legs out. You can already tell it just wants to get up and go.
