Currently 55/182 JJL 2nd from top. Temps are looking good but might drop the pilot since it loads up at long lights.
I’ve got a few little odds to finish up for the show main one being my dc power or lack of. Since this is the Malossi ignition it is a total loss, no charge at all. I just swapped out to some low output head lamps and using both total draw is 2.1A. If I wire it to stock form, only single lamp I’ll be at 1.7A. I ditched the fuel gauge since that was a waste for .3a. I’ve made a home in the OEM location for a 12ah battery and got a few SLA and a lipo so in theory I should be good for 5-6hr per battery. I’ve got a few other things like stocking up on oil, get my annual inspection done and swap silencers. Hopefully there’s no hiccups this week and I’ll be ready in time.

I made the tube for a Yasuni mount, that's about 22.48mm ID. I was aiming for about 22.3, but I think it is still fine. I really need to take the mini-lathe apart and clean/check/adjust it all. With slop in there, it will deflect sometimes and then dig in at some point. Spend a bunch of time drilling and boring and then it's the last cut that really matters. Anyway, 2 o-ring grooves in there. I've got 2x22 o-rings coming from McMaster-Carr on Tuesday, but it looks like the 2x21 rings that I had would probably work fine. One end has a very slight angle to aim the silencer away from the bracket a little.
I had the flange almost done, but then realized the cheap step drill that I used this time isn't straight. Even after center drilling the 2 stud holes and the center hole and checking that they were still spaced properly, it still ended up off. Junk it. I've got a hole drilled up to about 19mm for the center in a piece of steel ATM, but I'll wait till I get a 20mm bit in and then drill the mounting holes after so it's (hopefully) all centered properly.

I have the same carb on my 88cc bidalot aerox and i have 55 pilot 205 main jets, needle clip at the top spot (needle n68e?) with the clip at second highest it sputtered like crazy and barely moved at half throttle, clip at top feels almost perfect.

Thanks Brent I appreciate you taking time to make it up. pewpew I won’t be anywhere near that jetting. Tried a 190-195 and couldn’t get past 1/2 throttle. I like to use my egt and aim for 1050-1100 wide open and around 900 part throttle. Not quite perfect but still safe.

Do you have a dedicated EGT gauge? What is your temp gauge setup? I’m sure I could scroll back a few pages and find it.
I’ve seen the clamp on EGT sensors and I run a bargain basement head temp ring under the spark plug. I almost trust it. Everybody talks about temps hitting 300° but mine never goes above 230°F and it seems to run ok.

I just drill and weld a fitting in the pipe it can always be blocked off if not used. I also use the usual CHT and coolant probes.

Should be pretty much done other than welding it together. I can do that and it would likely be fine, but still think it makes more sense to do it with the pipe here.

That’s awesome Brent thank you so much. With any luck the scoot should be in decent tune to go mess with some 4 strokes at the beach. I swapped some stuff around with the CVT and get a a better launch that I’m still scared to use to its full potential. Currently using Malossi purple TD spring, all of the brass inserts for the clutch and red springs few notches before max tension and it’s giving me a 10K engagement. I’m going to back that off some to make it easier to turn. Flat spotted rollers and lots of Kevlar fiber with not much mileage. Mew belt before the show will be a must.

Damn. Any idea what actual mileage is? Even a ballpark like 50...100...500. That disappoints me, because I've had people tell me how great the RC-One is for reliability with a fast engine and how they don't go through belts like I do and so on. If they wear super fast with it too, the belts cost quite a bit more for it.
...And sliders, sliders, sliders. No experience with the power level of the RC-One, but they really are superior for wear in everything I own. Some people have said that they don't work right with an OR CVT, but basically everything I've ever done with an OR CVT has been with sliders and I even tried rollers vs sliders years ago and couldn't tell a difference with the Minarelli OR.

That’s 50-100 miles. The belt doesn’t bother me so much as the first belt seems to go quick on new pulleys but the rollers is kind of annoying. Given they are Malossi so they may be meant for a single race but the Polini rollers in the other engine have a few hundred miles on them and show no wear.
I’ll add them to my list to replace once I find the proper weight. Is it possible to have too much power that you can’t tell what it needs. It’s more that I run out of road and you look like an a-hole going 70 in a 35…

Just got back from attempting some full throttle digs… nope, not going to happen. Any attempt and it’s a wheel stander. As long as it gets moving then it’ll take it but from idle to full it’s sky bound. I’ll still attempt it at the beach..

I have 5,5gram

This is nothing more than a pointless observation. I can't help but read this and think back to most of my scoot life riding and tuning sport stuff and even... four-strokes. Hang on, lemme rinse my mouth out after saying that dirty word. Tuning to a half a gram was fine tuning. Tuning to a quarter gram was nothing shy of obsessive-compulsive. Then you get introduced to the world of high strung two-strokes and suddenly a tenth of a gram is normal tuning.
